Hear hear. The weird little franchise that could. Sam Raimi's cinematic madness is hard to replicate but I'm all for someone taking a shot.

Still a bit peeved we never got that sequel to the 2013 movie and the planned connections with the Ash movies (Army of Darkness 2 and then concluding with a meet-up movie). What exactly happened? Did Raimi scuttle that stuff in favor of the TV show? Don’t get me wrong, Ash Vs Evil Dead was great, but I just want clarifications

By all accounts, early screenings of Evil Dead Rise played like gangbusters so it’s not a surprise they would boost it.
