The Dark Knight Exclusive TDK Set Report #3 8/13

thanks for the pics.

so panda eyes are now confirmed. obvious that it is not the lighting that he has black around the eyes.

i hope it works in the movie. he has a white face with black eyes.

panda.

Sick new joker pics but I noticed that joker is wearing sneakers

i must admit that thw whole look looks good. he looks scary enough for a pg-13 movie. in a close up and creepy lighting he cna looks scary and badas.
but the panda eyes look still strange. and i dont have a problem that he looks like the crow.....which he doesnt exactly.

I think the black around his eyes makes him look dark and creates more creepiness

Hahaha, The Joker in those pics looks alot like Blade.

maybe they wanted that he looks like he has no eyes. then when he coms in close up you can see hes creepy eyes. heath said that hes joker is mroe about the eyes then about the laugh.

(sigh) Guys it looks like the Joker evolves throughout the movie....

Stage one: Theatrical thief who is normal in appearence albeit with green streaks dyed through his hair, leaves a calling card (we all know what it is) leading the press to nickname him the Joker. Mister J is a bit cruel and heartless with little regard for life but is not yet the pyschopath he will become.
See the bank robbery for examples of stage one.....

Stage two: At some point during escape from said bank robbery Bats intervenes throwing a batarang and severing J's zipline, the resulting tension in the line scarring his face in the manner of a f****d-up smile.
Resulting disfigurement drives J's insane and along with the media dubbing him The Joker he decideds to take it a stage further and add clown paint (shudder, for the record I HATE this idea). It also allows for a personal vendetta against Bats. (this zipline idea may or may not be acccurate but it has been floated around and the zipline escape was filmed)

Stage three: As J heats up with his war on Gotham and begins to elimnate the various gangs, plants bombs, messes with ferries etc. its begins to become clear that he has become truely insane, a mass murderer with no regard for life. At this point his make-up begins to become uneven, the dry cracked face paint that has been alluded to on BOF, the sloppy lipstick smeared over his face......

All this is conjecture of course....but I don't like it :csad:

J should be J, bleached white, from beginning to end. He should be bats**t insane from the time we first see him right untill his bleached white ass is thrown in Arkham. I don't want to see his look change or development darn it!

yes :woot:

Yeah that could be a reason why he has black around his eyes

I'm fine if his face is white and his hair is green and the lips are makeup. That will mean that the lips will be naturally purplish or some bruised color. But if it's all makeup, than Nolan is an idiot.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! HEATH DOES WEAR MAKE-UP!!!!!

His stylist applies it, because he has to look white and he has to have green hair. :o

Don't think so, he seems to already have the paint on halfway through the robbery scene which opens the movie (according to William Fichtner).
N.B. Anyone who didn't follow that, check out the script sides, they're still floating around the net somewhere!

Hey Hanna, dont remember him sayin anything about the paint but I do recall in the sides that the bank manager was supposed to be horrified by J's face.... I don't know, its all so very very confusing!!!!! Damn u Nolan!
And u now Jokers not gonna be in the teaser...best we can hope for is the laugh

not showing him would be idiotic.
this is not a monster or a horror movie. this is joker. everyoen knows the joker. hidding him is pointles

I think the Joker will be in the teaser even if its just a quick shot of him. I mean, we got a pic of him before we got the one of Batman.

Oh and typeorocks (and Laura) THANKS!

Yes I meant that Fichtner is on record as saying the bank robbery is the opening scene. And if there is only one bank robbery scene (could be more! That would be kinda dull though! This isn't The Sting!), that can only mean that Joker is both out of make-up (or in flesh make-up) AND in full make-up in the same scene. Hope it all gets nicely resolved in the movie!

Typeorocks and Laura: thank you! thank you! thank you!:up:

don't know if it's enough of a difference

pretty good work there man, makes a good deal of difference

I gotta apologize for this first, sorry, but Ledger jokers look, sort of kind of reminds me a lil bit of this version of the joker from an episode of The Batman;

I'm not trying to start a pro/con discussion of The Batman, I'm just saying, theres a little bit of a similarity. Fun. :joker:

good cap there.
