Didnt Clark burn the crap out of that guy?

Not completely

Clark was ready to kill this guy just about choking him to death then Lois came in & kept on telling Clark "He's human" "He's human" then Clark let him go
Your thinking of the Terminator Rip Off Episode. This guy could turn into Sand if I remember correctly

Good God I didn't even bother to read half of the responses on the last couple pages  AgentPat was referring to Tom being emotionless sometimes so it made me think of that manip I found looking for some other obscure Superman pic. It was funny and had to do with her comment... That was pretty damn tame humor and it didn't need people starting a whole campaign to disprove the notion that he's a less than stellar actor

Not only that, but my pic was actually on point... WTF does SR or Routh have to do with anything? Is there any point to bringing that up other than showing you can't take a regular joke?

END OF ROLLEYES

Cmon guys, we may be on opposite sides of the fence at times but be a little more accepting of:

1. Good natured ribbing (dish but can't take attitude in here is atrocious)
2. Varying viewpoints that don't always praise SV or TW.

I'm not just talking about my experience but so many times I see people, a lot of times with constructive criticism getting immediately pounced on by the same SV drones. There are fans, and then there are fanatics who can't seem to accept the possibilities of not everything being perfect.

I mean damn... How the hell am I going to get lectured by numerous people preaching to me that Thirst is a "great" episode and I'm being narrow minded? I call it as I saw it "filler episode" and all the sudden the drones are on me.

I have a new name for this forum now ala George Lucas

Smallville: Attack of the Drones

RELAX GUYS

Dude, why do you have to insult everyone in here JC? Drones? Come on. Plenty of us give negative feedback to episodes, I hated Auqa with a passion. The show can get very Dawson's Creeky at times. It far from perfect, but it is still entertaining. And Welling was very stiff in the early seasons, the guy never acted before. But he isnt the same kid who was cast 5 years ago, he's grown alot.
What did he do in this episode that was so bad? I thought he did just fine. In fact, Ive been bored with Lex as of late, they havent given him enough to do. Everyone here is sick of the krypto freak of the week angles. I'm not looking forward to Vengence or Lexmas, they sound pretty crappy to me. Why do the writers feel the need to hit people over the head with things? I have no idea. Clark should be the first hero IMO, he shouldnt get his idea from other people he meets. Read the spoilers from Vengence if you want to know what Im talking about. That really bugs me. But its popcorn entertainment, take it for what it is, love it or leave it.
It's when people come in here and start flaming and not actually giving constructive criticism that bothers the forum regulars. If people would come in here with ideas and what they'd like to see them go with the show, that would be totally fine. But they come in here, draw a line in the sand and pick fights. We like the show overall, these people apparently dont. Why even come in here then?? Thats what I dont understand, it must be to just piss the fans off. And Im sure thats how others in here feel. Then being catagorized as drones doesnt make things better.
Please, just lay off, we are all Superman fans, nobody is more right then anyone else. There are plenty of horrible Superman comics issues too, but that doesnt sway those fans either, nor are they drones for continuing to read on.

Oh I'm not directing the drones comment at one person in particular, I'm saying a certain culture in here has developed in that nature which has become a bad thing for the board in general. It's not directed specifically at you or "everyone" as you claimed, calling it an insult is kind of goofy :-/ I'm talking about the ones who won't accept comments that aren't praising the show. That has put things out of whack :o

Oh and I didn't post that as being specific to Tom in that episode, he certainly has improved and I've mentioned that before  It was just funny and in relation to Agent Pat's comment. People need to chill.

Jc I dont recall one time where you were "jumped on" for just being critical of the show? Anytime people have gone after you is when you were acting like a ******* and trying to incite things in the forum.

You intentionally come here with the motivation of pissing people off, because you somehow get your jollies from doing so I guess, and then when people take issue with you, you fall back on the "oh you hate me cuz I dont like the show".

Who are you kidding? You've been doing it for a long while now, and we've all seen the postings from the Mods and the banning that re-emphasize it.

The fact is, most of the regulars here will engage in a semi-intelligent debate about the show if given the opportunity. It's obvious not everyone here thinks the show is infallable, as we've got the public reviews to prove it. This claim of yours that somehow, the band of usual dopes that come here with no other intent but to flame the forum, are somehow "victims" is laughable.

Gee.. a few of you should take note of how DZM can post something quite NEGATIVE about the show and not be a complete trolling jerk about it.
See? It can be done. The difference is the real motivation, IMO.

The bannings hardly had a thing to do with SV forum actually.

I was banned relating to Spidey forum, some mods actually disagreed with the decision btw. For the record...

Anyways, I do like the show contrary to what you believe or I wouldn't be watching it. I just think it's a shame to waste Clark's journey on crappy filler episodes. The show will have these episodes right on the mark that keep me coming back, then I have to sit through 3-4 filler eps till we get back on track. I do take issue with that. As for acting like a jerk off, it seems to only be the same people that are claiming that... You know you have this little club going on where you guys tend to put on the blinders then gang rush anyone who sees past them. Even when I break down a reason in a constructive manner instead of getting thoughtful responses from this group of people, I get instant insults with no merit. You guys might think it's funny but to outsiders coming in, they just find it strange and off base. Usually they ignore your snide remarks and those are the people worth discussing with. It's a shame since we are all fans, but the fanatics mess everything up and as Pickle says makes this place go "south" :down

I wasnt directing the flaming at you, honestly. I know you enjoy the show overall, otherwise you wouldnt watch every week and post here all the time. Its the people who never post here, come in, attack a few times, then leave. That sucks.
The reason I responded to you was the drones comment I felt was rather harsh is all. We gotta learn to play nice, otherwise things will only spiral out of control. I like posting here for the most part, lets try to keep things civil even though we disagree.
I didnt hate the eppy, nor did I love it. It had its moments, but what we have to remember is its on the WB, so we'll probably never get a 100% stellar episode, thats the sad fact. WB barfed up Dawsons Creek and it got all over the rest of thier line up. But there is still plenty of good stuff if you flick the chunks off.
Id love to see, no more valley girl cheerleader types, or bimbo's of anykind (although I must admit, I screamed "BEST EPISODE EVER" when the girls walked into the strip club). A more realistic police force. More meaty episodes with less fatty side plots and a serving of some really nasty situations. Bad guys with alot more guts.
But I doubt it will happen, not yet anyway, the target audience is too young for what Id prefer.

Great posts and you make valid points indeed on both sides of the coin

As for the target audience being the reason, I'm not so sure. Why? Because lately they've used sex to increase ratings :-/

I implore you to show me an example of you posting something semi-intelligent that wasnt back-handed where you were "jumped on"?

Thank you, I needed this laugh. I had a rough day...

Well, sex sells, especially to horny teenagers. I bet 18 year old males in general have nothing against seeing stippers on TV.
I did like Clark's reaction to seeing Lois in the club and her sitting on his lap, I thought it was hilarious. I thought Chloe asking the stippers over and over again about the girl that was killed was lame. And why did Lois have a curtain to change in? She was going to be getting naked later anyway, so whats the point? I did like seeing Jonathan Kent having his own friend, and I liked how he reacted to his friends wrong doings, it was very in character. But They bad guy was cheesy AGAIN. I know they can write decently cool one episode bad guys, but they seem to not want to take them seriously usually. This is a guy who was kidnapping women and killing them, yet he came across far too fluffy for me.
But still, it was a fun episode overall, not perfect, but so far this season, they have improved alot with certain things that rub me the wrong way. And that will keep me watching. Moving forward with story telling and character development. No more going back to the smallville safezones of the past.
When Clark and Lana are done this time, Id like to see them actually move on for real.

well DZM I agree with you about the stripper aspect. I have a MAJOR beef with the WB promotions department. Their trailers usually suck and hihglight the wrong parts of an episode or totally mislead th viewer. The preview for Exposed made it look like Lois was going to be doing this big risque strip tease, which probably tuned some people off from the get go, when in fact the whole thing was played for laughs and wasnt sexy in trhe least bit...

At first I had a problem with this episode because I couldn't understand why the girl would call a reporter and not the police!? It seemed like a stupid plothole but then I thought about it... the creephad diplomatic imunity. The police couldn't do anything to him. It actually makes sense.

I got such a chuckle out of this, I had to share it. Three days after Clark said that "they" never mention the story of David and Bathsheba, which Old Testament story do you suppose my pastor brought up in a sermon on repentance and forgiveness? You guessed it. :)

Did it seem a bit hypocritical to anybody else Clark preaching top lex what a friend should and shouldn't do after signing on with doctor Fine to spy on the guy?
Of course, Lex is portrayed unevenly. After being totally evil in Aqua now he's a decent guy again.

Did you ask him (your pastor) if he watches SV? It might not have been such a coincidence after all. :D ;)

There's always a chance, I guess. :) He's one of the pastors (we have several) that I don't know well. But I doubt he watches it -- I get the impression that he's way more interested in sports and military stuff than pop culture. He didn't dwell on the story much, either -- it was just one in a series of examples he used of people who needed to repent, like Peter denying Christ in the garden, etc. -- so I don't think he was trying to make a special point of that particular story.

Now, I do know another pastor (out of state) who's very much into all things Superman. So if he happened to use David and Bathsheba this morning, I'd have had a hunch where it came from!

(Was too....)

:D

Okay.. have it your way.

::whistling::

Yep interesting review...and I too thought of why Melissa didnt call 911...but then again she is a minor stripping (maybe get in trouble)...if she talked to a reporter...could label her "anonymous" and expose the truth, etc.....just thought of that just now...
