Ezra Miller IS the Flash

I really don't understand why people say that he should probably be Wally West or Bart just because Barry is on TV. Would people rally behind the idea of using Connor Hawke as Green Arrow in the movies then? Or Ryan Choi as The Atom?

Jim Gordon is the subject of Gotham on TV. I guess they can't put him in any of the movies featuring Batman now because the following for the Fox show will be too confused.

The scope of audience that will tune in to watch a TV show every week is vastly different from the scope of audience that will go to the movies to watch a big budget production. The overall population of people that will go to the movie who are familiar with the CW show will be miniscule compared to the general audience members that will come out for Justice League or the Flash solo. No one is going to get mixed up by having Barry on both screens. It's really a non-issue.

As for the casting, Ezra doesn't strike me as any of the Flashes. I saw him in Perks and enjoyed his performance, but I don't see his personality really sinking up to Barry, Wally, or Bart all that well. It'll take me a while to find a character that I feel really fits him from that impression that I got. I'll watch some more of his movies soon to be sure.

Looks wise, he also doesn't really resemble any of them. He looks like more of a Batfamily type. Maybe Dick Grayson or an older Tim Drake.

I wouldnt be surprised if they take the total serious approach to him but that would just be weak on their part.

Why weak? The cinematic DC universe could very well be a serious and mature one. Some things WILL be changed from the comic books, and JL needs to be something else than Guardians of the galaxy.

This guy will kill it as Flash. Seen him in a couple of movies and he has a sharp wit, I can see this Flash being well rounded and engaging character.

People will always complain. They cast an actor that isn't an A-lister and people *****. They cast an A-lister and people call for an unfamiliar face. Point is the guy can act and he's some brown hair dye away from looking closer to the part.

Well I don't know why some are up in arms. Yes granted I can't connect this guy with any of the Flashes. Barry, Bart or Wally. On a positive note I looked the guy up and he has so many different looks then the standard popular actors that I actually like his casting. No it's not a Chris Pine, or a Ryan Gosling, or a Garret Hedlund or a Chris Evans or Liam Hemsworth and his brother Chris or whatever run of the mill light haired actor working now. All those white guys look so similar and they all look the same in all their pics. I see why most would want them because they are in box casting and probably the ideal that most have for what Superherores should look like, especially the way they are depicted in comics. Perfect, fit and white. I didn't see this casting coming but then I don't really care about the Flash but I like the casting. Now if he can just pull it off. That is the real question????

Going by Miller's pics I'd say in the DC universe someone like Felix Faust or one of the Robin's would look to be more a fit for him, heck even Terry/Batman the future version would work. Kyle Rayner/GL also could work, but all those characters would be obvious in box casting. The Flash however is a little iffy looks wise. But like I said I like the casting and I'll give him a chance.

Because a Flash movie doesn't need to be dark and serious, not all DC films need to go that route. Of course that is all speculation at the moment.

I also think it's important to note that while WB has announced this It doesn't mean it's going to happen and I'm talking about the solo films. We'll see. I think we'll get the WW movie and maybe Aqua Man, but I'm not convinced that WB is going to do a Flash movie with this guy in the lead and certainly I'm even more skeptical of a Black lead Superhero movie in Cyborg with this Ray Fisher guy. I'll believe it when I see it. I think we'll have a better chance of seeing another Green Lantern movie before a Cyborg film.

I am just not sold on him. I'm not saying Aaron Paul was my only pick or why isn't it Aaron but I'm sure there are other actors who I would have preferred. Hell I would have preferred Grant.

I'm just not sold on this kid. I hear he's a good actor but hell even good actors have bad films.
