ok huh?

I'm just really in the middle of this casting. I like him and know he is a good actor. Do I think he suits the role? No. Do I hope to be proven wrong? Of course. And he is also the youngest cast member which feels weird. But I just like my actors to somewhat resemble the characters they play, given time I get used to the changes but the beginning is always hard.

Yeah, Gustin isn't even remotely close to being blonde. Not sure where SmallvilleFan was coming from on that one.

Have his hair a brighter brown, with that length or shorter, and I'm down.

I do feel like DC is going out of their way to surprise everyone with their pick. I just wish they did that when it comes to Batman role. Also this guy is proven actor. If most of you got on board with Wondergal, you can do the same for this.

In terms of complexion and superficial features the only difference between Gustin and Miller is Gustin has a more "conventional" look to him.

Miller is fine by me. :word:

Regarding Grant Gustin, you have to remember that by the time the Justice League film comes out in November 2017, CW's Flash will be in the middle of it's fourth season. WB can't guarantee that a television show will last that long, let alone bank on if Gustin will be available, interested, or liked by critics and the general audience. Who knows, maybe the show bombs next year and doesn't get to Season 3. There are too many risks. For all intents and purposes, the television series won't last beyond the Justice League film.

Arrow is almost guaranteed to be finished by the end of it's fifth season in 2016, as that was the CW's plan from the beginning; tell a story that's five years/seasons in flashback and five years/seasons now. So really, it's almost a fact that The CW's universe is over in 2016, unless the network goes insane and creates more shows connected to Arrow and Flash.

If it's all over in 2016, it's the perfect time to re-introduce characters on the big screen in 2017, and it's certainly a perfect time for Ezra Miller to be introduced as a new Flash. I really can't imagine there being two live action versions of The Flash at the same time. Just my opinion.

Not gonna lie, these photos made me think even worse of him. He has a face of someone who just wanna punch.

I've heard of him but I don't think I've actually seen any of his performances.

I've never heard of this guy or even seen him in anything.
I have no problems with his appearance though....I don't see the problem.

:whatever:

He'll be 25/26 by the time the Flash is out . I don't think he's age will be that big of a deal.

For the record, this is the most Flash-like picture I could find of him. It's also one of the few where he's was actually smiling:

I don't know, I really can't see it. It's not even the hair color or the femminess, just the whole look doesn't work. You expect a guy with super-speed to be full of energy and confidence, but this kid looks depressed as hell.

Well folks, let levi's reaction be an example of what happens when you want Aaron Paul for a given role, only to have someone completely unexpected be announced instead.lol

Watch some interviews of him or The Perks of Being a Wallflower. His look is far off, but he seems to have the comedic vibe, and his role in Perks had a good combination of serious and being a spazz. I think he'll pull off the energy well.

Aaron Paul as Barry? Oh, how original. :whatever:

I am so ****ing sick of hearing about Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul on the DC boards.

We get it you ****ing loved Breaking Bad! Shut up about it!

lol but honestly I knew it was unlikely Aaron would be Flash and there are better picks IMO then Ezra. There has to be another actor who's as good as him and looks more like Barry. There has to be and you know what?

You haven't seen a single frame of footage.

Or you could just accept your fancast not getting chosen for once.

I'm actually surprised how mature people are being when it came to this announcement, I mean compared to the outrage the other casting choices met. I am sure Ezra can pull it off because he is a very talented actor. Grant Gustin has surprised me with how likeable he is in the CW show. But honestly, did anyone actually think the CW's lighthearted shows would mesh well at all with Snyder's Man of Steel or upcoming JL universe? I like the decision and have no issue watching two different Flashes on the big and small screen (as long as they are very different takes on the character, which i am confident they will).

Also I know he doesnt look like the traditional character but as long as he gains enough weight to not look like a gangly teen in the suit I will have no problem with this choice.

I'm actually more curious now on when, in the time line of the dcu, this version of Barry received his powers and how long he's been the flash.
