Ezra Miller IS the Flash

I'm not trying to troll. I like Aaron Paul. I watched Breaking Bad. I've watched Paul's films The Last House on the Left, Need for Speed, A Long Way Down and Hellion. (Paul was great in the latter two films I mentioned although he does that frustrated face rubbing thing too much in every performance).

Aaron Paul was in the public spotlight a lot with Breaking Bad coming to a end and to be honest I feel he is mainly getting brought up because he is flavour of the month.

I've seen it time and time again on casting discussions in general. Whatever actor is in the public eye and getting the most publicity regardless of talent or if they are right for the role always get their names brought up.

When Jude Law was in so many movies in one year that Chris Rock was cracking jokes about it at the Oscars his name was brought up for every superhero or villain.

The same goes for Ryan Gosling, Clive Owen, Sam Worthington. Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Fassbender, That guy from True Blood who can't act and whatever other actor the world thinks is on fire that week.

I'm not saying these guys or girls should ever be mentioned or aren't right for certain roles but there does seem to be a lot of flavour of the month bandwagon joiners who want them cast in everything going and if a actor is cast who isn't on the flavour of the month radar it is some sort of out casting disaster.

Gotta agree with this, most fan-casting choices are lazy in the sense that they look no further than the hyped and overexposed actors that are ''in" at a particular time. If you went back to around 2007/08 and told people Michael Fassbender was going to play a younger Magneto they would have replied with either: "Who the **** is that?" or "Oh...Leonidas' 3rd most important soldier from 300?"

Always going for the "highest profile" actor that fits the physical look for an actor doesn't seem like a recipe for success to me. That kind of logic would get you Will Smith as Cyborg or Jaime Alexander as Wonder Woman, instead of potentially unique candidates like Ray Fisher or Gal Gadot that don't have any expectations or previous associations. The same thing is likely to apply to Miller, the guy is obviously a good actor and I'm going to assume the casting folks and Snyder have access to slightly more information than we as fans do.

Me, I'll wait for the trailers to determine whether I think the movie deserves my money or not, but I'll say outright I don't like the look of this guy for the Flash.

Don't wade in putting words in my mouth - that's it, I don't like the look of him.

Does this imply I think he's a bad guy? A bad actor, disqualified because he's gay (who cares, seriously!) - No.

It's exactly the same as me not liking the look of this Aaron Paul dude, his face on a superficial level, irritates me.

Anyway, glad a Flash film is being made because I like positive heroes - I'll take the board's word that Ezra Miller can pull off whichever Flash it's gonna be's personality and I'll be fine at the end.

I mentioned this is the Ray as Cyborg thread. What if we see a Cyborg/Flash friendship? Both actors are around the same age and both playing the youngest heroes of the JL it seems. I think it would be a great idea.

I think if World Of Warcraft is a hit then Duncan Jones could end up directing one of these DC films seeing as he is a big comic book fan and has been approached to direct three comic book films by different already.

It's pretty obvious that they want to keep the universes separate, which if you ask me is the right decision as it gives both the movies and tv shows the freedom to be what they want to be. Besides, by the time The Flash movie comes out the TV show could be over already. I hope it isn't, but there is no guarantee.

this would be a good argument for Ezra to be Wally or even Bart, over Barry (which most people seem to be speculating) have them be like fresh out of the TT's... I don't want this to be there origin story, and them starting out as Rookies, or still learning there powers

I'm really interested in seeing what sort of training Ezra will be doing. Personally I think Flash should be lean with strong legs like Randy Orton is built. His legs shouldn't be too big, but big enough to where you can tell it's the strongest part of his body.

This is the down side to all this continuity and content being out at the same time. It essentially limits creativity. That is, if right now WB wanted to put the absolute best characterization of the Flash persona on screen, the debate as to which Flash that should actually be, is being limited by things like: 'well the TV show is on and it would feel like a rehash, 'is Grant good enough', etc.

Absolute freedom to pilfer what you will from the material is the ideal imo. And hopefully WB doesn't lose that advantage.
