Hmm, I remember debating whether I should get RDR at the time, because the setting didn't really appeal to me, and I ended up buying it and loving it. With Skyrim, it was the same, except I opted to rent it first based on hype and played for a few days and couldn't get into it, so I sent it back to Gamefly, but then a few months later, after all the hype died down, I rented it again and ended up buying the Legendary Edition.
I generally love open world games, especially ones that give you so much to do that you don't know where to begin. That's kinda why I'm not sure whether I'll like this, The Witcher 3 or MGS V, but with Black Friday coming along, I'm willing to give them all a try and possibly buy if there are good enough deals coming along. I just don't know when I'm going to have time to play through them all because they all seem like massive games that have over 100 hours of content each and my backlog is already building.
