Now this may be false hope, but wouldnt it be awesome if Sci-Fi struck a deal with Joss Whedon to make new episodes of Firefly? I just love seeing that all over the place networks are undoing Fox's Dumbass mistakes.

I don't know if I would want the show to be resurrected. Especially with two of the main characters gone. Preacher was an awesome character and he's gone as is Wash.

I doubt this would happen, but after the movie do you really want to see this happen?

Futurama ressurected? As in new episodes?

If they hadn't done the movie and killed off two characters I would have loved to see this.

^Maybe they can find a way to undo it. Not like ressurecting them, but maybe have the show take place between the show and movie, like the comic.

They should do some episodes based on the comic and events around it to tie the movie and the series together. Then continue on with the series post film. Book and Wash were cool, but it's not like they're the only major characters Whedon has killed off in his series before. Buffy and Angel saw alot of relatively big characters die and it moved along fine.

I'd miss the hell out of Wash, but I'd still love to see "Firefly" come back.

Guys, I think we have to accept it.

The dream is over.
What can I say?
The dream is over,
Yesterday...
We had the Firefly...
But now, we live on,
We had the Whedon,
But now... he's just Joss,
And so, dear friends,
You'll just have to,
Carry on,
The dream is over.

The dream is never over. As long as we obsess over ot irrationally, the dream will live on in our hearts.

but would the actors like to do it again. they have all moved on. i'm sure if they made another film they'll do it but i don't think they would for a series

I'm actively seeking Joss Whedon replacements, actually. Battlestar Galactica and Veronica Mars have filled the void nicely.

I will continue to carry my torch of fanboy obsession until I finnally realize that it's a lost cause and sink into a deep depression that will last about a day or two. And then I'll eat cookies.

By the way, you reminded me, I really need to pick up the Veronica Mars DVDs.

The second season is a bit of a disappointment, but the first season is pure tv gold.

I enjoyed the second season. But, whatever, to each his own.

Oh, I loved it too. But it was, naturally, not quite up to the standards set by season one.
