You know what's the most disappointing element of The Thing's look? 5 fingers. Having 4 fingers was always such a cool aspect of his design. Shame they had to get rid of it for the sake of...believability?

So if I reproduce the Mona Lisa, and instead of a brunette with straight hair, I paint a blonde with curly hair....it might be a beautiful piece of art, but it's not a reproduction of the Mona Lisa. So, even if I call it The Mona Lisa....it's not.

You'd have a valid point if say someone hired you to reproduce the Mona Lisa in some forgery instead of say make your own spin on it.If that happned you'd come out with something thats inspired by that painting but its own thing. Ohh wow, that kinds sounds just like this project

Oh wow, no....it sounds like you trying to make your point sound valid to me.

It doesn't...but that is ok. If people want to hang the MLINO on their walls and keep saying, yes that is an adaptation of certain elements of the original Mona Lisa, and have people that actually know art agree with them, then your point is valid, but people that actually know that a painting of Mona Lisa, as a reproduction is GOING TO HAVE CRITICS that know art and will say, NOPE, that is NOTHING like the Mona Lisa, and NOPE does not have any valid elements of the original..., Wow, kind of like this project... But, in the end... We simply disagree...

Eh the posters are alright , most posters these day are photoshopped to death anyway. I would like to see Reed stretching and a different pose for the siblings but The Thing looks good!

Since they keep color-shifting to make their uniforms look more blue on the posters, they must recognize they should have been blue . . . so why didn't they just make them blue?

And since they keep trying to hide Ben's nakedness, they must realize he looks stupid naked . . . so why didn't they just give him pants?

It's sad that Homer Simpson's version is more loyal to the source material than this one.

With his 5 fingers....lol *shakes head* such a simple thing to pay homage to the artwork of the Thing in the comics and give him 3.

May not be a big deal to some, and won't be a big deal to the GA, but why not "at the least" give the fans that....its almost like Trank was to give the "middle finger" to the fans in every way that he possibly can. NOT SAYING, that is WHAT he is doing, but damn the perception is there.

Fox ****ed up Piccolo's color in DBE, too. They digitally altered it in the film (I could see that happening here, actually), and then screwed up and used shots of him before they fixed it on the back cover and disc art of the home release. Some merchandise also made Chatku's hair black, apparently because merchandisers also thought it was a load of crap that the film's budget was too small for a bottle of dye.

Get your eyes checked. That blob was clearly more of an ochre.

The only reason I'm not as upset as you is I was on this page since the first trailer. I was pretty sure I could see 5 fingers there and other images seemed to confirm it.

Just one more piece of evidence that they don't really care about making this look like the comic books.

Between that and the lack of vents on the fire guy's costume audiences just couldn't buy it. The 2005 film never had a chance.

The posters are fine, nothing special but bearable. The photoshop job is actually better than i would have expected, much better than for example DOFP posters.
