Alberta have rated the film and it is listed as having a 100 minute runtime.

Another amazing sign of quality. Man this truly will be the next Fury Road.

I need some good news about this film, I'd love some good news about it but all of the news is bad. I'm not one to just be a negative nancy for no reason, I want a sign that this film will not be complete dog****.

The score by Marco Beltrami is good.

There you go. Pay for the score, stay home, and listen to it while reading good Fantastic Four comics.

People'd probably have a much better experience and it's probably cheaper.

That just means it's a waste. They blew Phillip Glass just like they blew this cast. Once this thing comes out in theaters, Trank needs to apologize for the way he handled such a promising motion picture. He was given the chance of a lifetime compared to a number of other directors who would have also wanted a shot at the Fantastic Four and despite everyone else's hard work, he ruined everything.

Im willing to bet that the only reason the score isnt a mess is because Trank didnt have much input in the scoring process.

I enjoyed Brian Tyler's DBE score on its own, too. Scores that you listen to prior to seeing the film don't generally indicate the quality of the film.

So I hear that FOX still has an embargo on reviews for this film until August 5th. Is this true? If it is, there's likely no greater signal that they know this movie sucks.

Yeah they were in a damned if they did damned if they didnt. It likely is a terrible film. Not enacting a late embargo would have confirmed that it was terrible before the film ever came out. But enacting a late embargo pretty much told people that the studio wasnt confident in the film. So embargo or no embargo this was a no win situation. But they have only themselves to blame. They let Trank create this mess and waited too long to attempt to clean it up.

If memory serves correctly, there was an embargo on at least the first 2005 FF film. F4: ROTSS may have had one as well.

Originally the online review embargo was set to end August 5. The print review embargo was set to end 7pm EST August 6. Theyve changed the print embargo. It now ends on August 5 instead of August 6.

I like the score to Bayformers.

Yup, but we are not sure if any reviews will actually go online then because as far as we can tell the Press Screenings don't start until then.

Once I see the actual film I'd like to see Tranks original 'action-less' version to see if we would've got a good character(s) piece

I thought I had read (and I may be completely wrong on this) that the print embargo is now Wednesday (the 5th) evening and the onliine embargo is Thursday (the 6th) evening. Meaning all reviews (since print reviews will be in Thursday newspaper editions at the earliest) will be coming out on Thursday just before the Midnight showings.

Going by this:

It was originally Thursday August 6th 4pm PST for online reviews, and Friday 7th (release day) for print.

Fox have bumped it up a little under a day so now Wed 5th 6.00pm PST for online, and Thursday 6th for print (that late in the day any printed articles would have to be the next days press anyway).

Warning: Simon Kinberg gives some story details about Doom, spoilers!

Lol those videos are poorly edited since you gotta check the start for all the questions. Ah sweet Simon Kinberg talks about how young Reed differs from the 616 one, you know what this leads up to logically?

The Kinberg one I liked the most, but once again Toby Kebbell gets praised for his performance as Doom, awesome.

First clip.

I enjoyed it to be honest.

I will say, at least this movie's shot competently and is lit nice; that's something that's been clear since the start though. In regard to this clip, I am curious as to whether that dialogue was ADR'd in an attempt to instill a sense of fun that wasn't previously there.

 Is this an actual clip, or has it been heavily edited? If this is an actual clip from beginning to end as it will appear in the film, it seems like this has the same problem that was my biggest pet-peeve in the Tim Story films - there's no drama, no build-up, no anticipation, no emotional engagement.

In ROTSS the FF were facing the end of the World and it was dull and flat with no intensity, and that's exactly what I'm getting here - They're travelling to a foreign dimension and there's no feeling of intensity.
