I like Jason Statham and I didn't even know he was show up before.
It's good when you don't read about it things like this on the net. I also liked(Roman and other guy) making jokes at each other. I liked everything about the film from start to finish and passes FF5.
I just downloaded that Whiz/ 2 Chains song from the soundtrack off iTunes. Haven't seen the movie yet, but it seems like it fits with this movie. Awesome song!!!
You're not very aware of Whedon's track record.... are you?
Serenity was a big action flick on a budget. And it was fantastic.
Dude also wrote Aliens 3.
Whedon had a track record for fantastic action franchises. He was just not a household name (at least, other people's houses. I've been a Whedonite since the Buffy days).
Nothing in Wan's arsenal suggests he's even capable of directing a Fast & Furious movie.
In fact - quite the opposite. Did ANYONE else watch the car chase in the first SAW? Danny Glover behind the wheel of a van shaking a steering wheel in a sped up frame rate?
Ugh.
And don't give me the budget thing. Good directors get creative.
Yeah, lets judge a director's current capability based on a driving scene in his second film 10 years ago. A film that is vastly different from what F&F7 will be. Marvel hired the brothers who gave us You, Me, and Dupree for Captain America 2. Sometimes director's get a job based on a pitch and not based on their portfolio.
3 was the butchered one. Resurrection was largely the same as what Whedon wrote, with the usual studio touches every film gets. He definitely deserves his share of the blame for that and it goes to show no one is perfect... except Shane Black.

For those that have seen the movie it's quite silly [BLACKOUT]the first fight between Carano and Rodriguez considering what happens later in the movie.[/BLACKOUT]
Oh man, this is such a ****ing badass movie, **** yeah !
Always liked the Fast & Furious series, and there was a nice shift with Fast Five that I like, but IMO, Fast Six is clearly the best one there is. Evans makes for a very nice villain, promising for his turn as Bard The Bowman in the next Hobbit movies
The setpieces are ****ing great really, Lin rules with an iron fist, guy knows how to set up and shoot action sequences, combine this with Diesel at the top of his game, The Rock having a lot of fun + the rest of the crew (Walker, Ludacris, Kang, Gibson, Rodriguez, etc) + humor, it just is a very compelling movie, and dare I say, actually a good movie in itself, and extremely entertaining.
The post-credits scene is AMAZING, I couldnt believe it, I was like "WHAT? I thought they were just going to leave the continuity problems aside" and then
the race scene from Tokyo Drift with Han's death, and OUT OF NOWHERE, Jason fu cking Statham, ah ah ah OMG
Terrible script, art direction, direction, cinematography, unmemorable music, mediocre to bad acting, s**ts all over the mythos with its randomness. You know, imo.
It didn't take because it had a terrible misguided script and bad acting. Don't defend Whedon. He deserves blame for that one. It's practically unwatchable.
Really your best argument is the ridiculously terrible Alien Resurrection which was part Whedon's fault and Serenity, while enjoyable was not even close to a big action movie. It was a tv action movie
