Well played ^

the F&F movies are great entertainment. If you wanna complain, lets talk about Meet the Spartans or something

This flick has has just set the box office benchmark for the summer. Any big budget flick afterwards from now until August that don't break 72 mil their first week, I'm gonna be all, "dude, you let F&F beat you....you suck, potential franchise."

Honestly, people are always shocked when "fun" movies that are sometimes more substance than style hit number one at the box office...we don't always go to the movies to think.

BOM Numbers

Domestic: $72,508,000
+ Foreign: $30,100,000
= Worldwide: $102,608,000

any word on this?

A 20-minute prequel directed by Vin Diesel and focusing on Dom & Letty which also introduced the character Han (Kang), was filmed in the Dominican Republic during the summer of 2008. The prequel is said to establish what happened to these characters after the first film, The Fast and the Furious. This prequel takes where the second film left off, and represents what happened before Tokyo Drift.

Very surprised by opening weekend. I actually never thought how much it would make.

That will more then likely be on the DVD & it will be interesting to see what Dragonball: Evolution makes in the U.S. compared to this

Did insanely high box office numbers on the weekend...so now we have to look forward to more sequels:

Fast
Furious
The Furious and the Fast
Furious and Fast
The Furious and Fast Drifting in Tokyo

:o

F------ great, that means we will have a new Riddick movie:word:

That was one of the first things that popped into my head once I saw the numbers.

I really hope they get working on the new one soon.

Underrated series imo. I would love to see another Riddick film.

I just saw it, and it was better than I thought it would be.

I give it an 8.

I saw it yesterday. Better than I expected it to be. The only minor complaint was the ending
with the gang about to break Dom off the prison bus
I thought it was just a little over the top, even for this type of movie. But other than that I enjoyed it.

Bring on the fifth movie. With opening weekend numbers like that, there's no way Universal doesn't want another.

Wow, a very impressive OW.

I freaking loved it. Best since the first.

I wonder where a 5th would go storyline wise. Dom in Toyko with Sean? Brian, Mia and maybe Roman as a new crew? Or just the plain Toretto solo flick they floated for a while after the original?
