Fast and the Furious 9: The Fast Saga

Also diversity doesn’t mean just black. There’s other races out there that need to be represented on film other than white and black, IMO.

Indeed, that sounded like a weird complaint to me. Does the main heroic cast even *have* any white actors in it since Paul Walker died?

Just watched Campea and Robert Meyer's review and I am now officially worried. By all indications it sounds like this is the movie to finally push things too far. Apparently theres a scene where:

Vin Diesel
is fighting like 20 guys at once and he wins the fight by grabbing some chains attached to the roof and using his mighty strength, he brings the whole roof down around them.

I mean, s*** like that is just, wow. Granted. We did have something similar a few movies ago where he stomped the ground and it broke beneath him and Jason Statham but now it just sounds like they are just going full superhuman for these characters. Eh, hopefully I can just turn my brain completely off and enjoy the ridiculousness.

I`m already saw it. I thought before, that would be a worst, than other parts. Here is my opinion -

P.S. "The Fast and the Furious" and "Fast & Furious" are my lovely FF-movies.

Honestly, a fair assessment. And that's even considering the past ridiculousness of the movies. There are some plot twists that make no sense.

Can someone put the cameo in spoiler tags? Just want to know who it is.

So I finally watched F9 and I felt like this was ridiculous and beyond believable and they make so much fun of themselves it's hard to not laugh.

Dom backstory is conveniently rewritten with a lot of plot holes

The Espionage brother Jacob is the reason Mr. Nobody sought out Dom and his family crew

Han's Resurrection is ridiculous just to justify Shaw redemption

Lately excuse for not liking the normal life is lame, she a mother she has no business putting the lifestyle in the crosshairs of her family

The whole plot of another technology base weapon in the world capable of worldwide mayhem is absolutely absurd

Magnets are the new destruction tool

A prototype space car in the works

Cyber is still a useless villainous

It's way too late for this but would it kill Dom/Vin Diesel to maybe crack a joke or understand that what they're doing is ridiculous?

Take this clip for instance. After the car swings from a rope and rolls 8 or 9 times Dom kind of just shrugs it off while Letty makes the one liner

"Well that was new"

It just makes his character less believable. Wouldn't you be screaming and near peeing your pants if something like this happened?

So the post credit scene with Shaw and Han do you see a resolution in Fast 10? Or is this a tease for Han joining forces with Shaw and Hobbs in their second adventure.

Justin Lin, said in an interview that he would be very opened to bring both Hobbs and Shaw back in Either 10 or 11.

They need to bring Hobbs back just so we can hear about all this weird drama behind the scenes, like how Dwayne and Vin can’t put aside their petty bull**** for five minutes so they can film a scene together.

"It sounds like this is the movie to finally push things too far"......
Kquillou, did you watch the previous 3 or 4 films?

As you said in a scene Dom stomps the ground and caves in a parking garage.

But... Also... LOL

In Fast n Furious 6 Dom crashes his car in a guard rail, flies over a huge gap between two bridges and catches Letty in mid air and then lands on top of another car. Also, In Fast n furious 7 The Rock tackles Alaina through a window and they fall several stories and land on top of a car to avoid an explosion. Fast and Furious 7 Driving a Super Car through 3 sky scrapers. Not to mention, as someone else said.......... the Hobbs and Shaw movie as a whole............

The franchise stopped being what I considered as a VERY FUN Point Break Remake with sequels at Fast Five. From Fast 6 and beyond they are basically a team full of Zander Cage xXx Special agents with tons of ridiculous and impossible stunts.

Will I see the new film? Oh Absolutely, I'll still likely enjoy it, but for me From 1 to 5 is where it was amazing.

Even 2Fast2Furious?

2 Fast 2 Furious is without a doubt my least favorite. WOW... are you correct I nearly forgot about a lot of the ridiculous stuff in that film as well. But I do appreciate it because it introduced us to Tej and Roman which are very enjoyable characters in my book.

Again, keep in mind I love the series as a whole. As I said earlier, when I look at the series, I personally see the First film in the series as a Point Break remake with 4 sequels and honestly, if the franchise ended there I would have been fine with it. From 6 to current it reminds me more of xXx Zander Cage type special agent expendable extremely over the top scenarios. I get the series is full of the "over the top scenarios" but in my opinion its at its worst in 6 to current.

If I had to rank the films from best to worst..... hmm... Considering I havent seen 9 yet....

1) The Fast and The Furious
2) Fast and Furious
3) Fast Five
4) Tokyo Drift
5) Furious 7
6) The Fate of the Furious
7) Fast and Furious 6
8) Hobbs and Shaw
9) 2 Fast 2 furious

9) 2 Fast 2 furious

...going into 9, I’d rank them;

——A——
The Fast & The Furious
Fast Five
Fast & Furious
——B——
2 Fast 2 Furious
Furious 6
The Fast & The Furious - Tokyo Drift
——C——
Furious 7
——D——
The Fate Of The Furious
——F——
Hobbs & Shaw

While slowly getting better post 2 Fast / Tokyo Drift, they’re now getting increasingly bad after Furious 6.

Also, 2 Fast isn’t great... but looking back I love the whole Paul Walker of it all and is a nice QoS style “Brian’s Song aka part 2” of the first film being Paul’s journey and not an extension of the greater Fast Saga as we now know it post Fast & Furious.
