Fast and the Furious 9: The Fast Saga

I will bet everyone in this forum an expensive steak dinner that they bring Gal Gadot back in one of the last two.
A literally leaned over and said to my friend as soon as they showed her in flashback, "she's coming back to life next." And he was just like "absolutely." :funny:

If we're being honest, Gisele's death was way more ambiguous than Han's so if they wanted to bring her back at this point, whatever.

Did anyone else just feel like they just didnt give a fig about the plot or anything happening on screen though? I mean, look, ALL of the Fast movies have pretty dumb scripts but most of them succeeded in making me care about the characters and invested in their missions. This is the first movie where i just did not give a damn about whatever was going on.

Different writer?

Chris Morgan wrote 3-8 (and Hobbs and Shaw). Maybe losing him was the wrong time lol

The thing that really got me about this flick is that the entire emotional core of it hinges on the idea that
Dom thinks Jakob killed their dad. And I don't know if there's ever been a more difficult point in this entire franchise where I had to suspend disbelief (and that's saying a ****ing lot).

Young Rico, I think, literally explains to him that the trick with the car is used to throw races. So the fact that Dom immediately assumes his little brother murdered their dad for no particular reason...and then holds onto that belief for decades just completely undercuts all that bull**** about "family."

Just one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, even for a franchise that catches people falling from great heights onto moving vehicles.

I mean if Owen Shaw can survive being thrown out of the plane, why can’t Gisele? Of course, wouldn’t explain where she’s been this whole time but that hasn’t stopped them before.

I'm from England and all the number plates are completely invalid as in the wrong format:

I wasn't really paying attention to the casting back when this was in pre-production but I was pleasantly surprised to see

Shea Whigham appear... and Michael Rooker too which felt like a nice little Days of Thunder nod.

Shea Whigham hive!!

And yeah I completely forgot Michael Rooker was cast

Ah yes, the only thing wrong in the whole movie.

I know I’d laugh if they went with the idea that everything after the first film was a dream because Dom actually crashed at the end and ended up in a coma.
Yep… after this and previously, Hobbs & Shaw, this is how I’m viewing the franchise going forward. :funny:

Is this available on any streaming platforms? I want to see this (out of morbid curiosity mostly) but I’m not risking catching the Delta variant for this ****.

Nope theaters only. If you’re vaccinated you should be ok. Luckily my theater automatically blocks off the seats to either side of you when you get a ticket.

Yeah, I’m vaccinated but this latest variant has me concerned enough that I’m only going to a theater to see something that I almost KNOW will be good (Hello, Green Knight).

I didn't care either.

I basically just watched it because I've seen the previous movies.

I’ve been trying to avoid spoilers but one thing I need to know. How do they explain Mia coming back but Brian being absent?
