Yeah, it’s one of those things where it could grow like John Wick because of word of mouth, or just has a niche fan base that doesn’t build beyond that.

So Elena was killed off in the 8th film.

Looks like this franchise is following the MCU motif of villain becomes some sort of anti-hero, except apparently, the Fast Franchise wants to do it with all of their villains (and we'll probably find out that Jacob is alive and is now on the side of good in a future movie).

That's not an MCU motif. It's been a pretty popular one in YA, anime and and animation in general for a long time.

Probably a spin off involving the resurrected Gal. Also I just realized the two prominent women who have died in the series, have stayed dead, and I cant' imagine why that is. I mean sure Michelle Rodriguez came back, but they made it clear she wasn't dead very quickly.
