Fast and the Furious 9: The Fast Saga

I kinda had a feeling that the feud would deter Johnson from coming back to the main franchise, which is pretty lame because he was a big reason why I watched these movies in the first place. At this point, the FF franchise doesn't need him, nor does he need the FF franchise but it's still a shame that he won't be back...allegedly. But I also thought that these movies should have ended at 7, so there's that too.

Honestly even if he did come back it would be like F8 where they were obviously in different scenes and rooms and when they were together it was green screened.

F7 really was the perfect end point
I would say F6. Elena was alive. Paul was alive. They were back in LA at the house. Everyone got to say goodbye to Han. They all earned their freedom and weren’t quite ridiculous super spies yet.

Yeah, I agree that they should've stopped at F7. But, I'd still have continued on with spin-offs. Would still love to see a movie centered around the Shaw family. They probably could've turned the Dom/Jakob thing into its own movie and cut stuff like Cipher, Han, and the other supporting characters.

If they insisted on bringing Han back, that probably would've worked better as Tokyo Drift follow-up with Sean finding out he's alive and going through hell to track him down.

I suppose if they hadn’t included that post credit scene at the end of 6, then it would have been a pretty good ending too.

Damn I can understand The Rock moving on and he definitely doesn't need to be apart of this franchise anymore, but I am seriously going to miss his charisma and presence when it comes to these movies.

I still haven't seen F9 yet, but from everything I've heard it sounds like someone like him who brought alot of new energy to this franchise is going to be sorely missed going forward, especially since almost everyone else in the cast wants to take these movies way more seriously now.

Honestly F9 really had me missing The Rock, because honestly the main crew were almost all pretty boring and dull in F9. It just didn’t feel like there was any spark in any of them here.

Eh, I'm still hoping we get another Shaw n Hobbs flick. They have a pretty damn good cast already, just add a few more and we good to go.

Vanessa Kirby
Kurt Russell
Potentially having Han in here.
Rock
Statham
and possibly Reynolds.

I'm all in for more Hobbs and Shaw movies, the main series though I'm done with. F9 proved there's nothing left in the tank and I cant not picture 10 and 11 being disasters creatively and diminished returns at the BO. The series is going to end on an embarrassing note.

Maybe Vin will start talking about how he wanted The Rock to fart harder and just as loud as he does, for the performance! You know to get it to that level, because that’s what these films are about… driven intense fart-driven performances

I'm probably seeing this next weekend. The lukewarm reception has killed some of my buzz but I still saw most of the other ones in the cinema so I hope to get some chuckles out of it at least.

Gotta say though, the Vin Diesel/Family memes have been great and some of them (like the Anakin Skywalker/ "You dont need logic when you got family) still makes me laugh whenever I think about them. :D

Can’t believe this is out on VOD already! I’ll be watching it this weekend.

I'm gonna wait when it's $5 to rent on VOD instead of $20.

I guess this could end up being the biggest grosser of the year!

Barring Spider-Man or some unexpected film surprising or something.
