That was how I thought they’d come at it. F. Gary Gray said a while back that they did consider having Brian physically appear in Fast 8. I’m all for the character showing up in-person if Paul’s family is down with it.

They've had Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. And I think Jordana is Brazilian of Portuguese descent on her mother's side. Gal is Israeli, yes, but her family came from Europe.

TLR version: Tyrese is broke and lives paycheck to paycheck due to legal fees and The Rock is taking taking money away from him by doing a spin off. And his ex-wife recently got sole custody of their daughter and it just isn't fair. His wife has ruined his reputation and thus he can't land work outside of FF.
