Fast Five Aka The Fast and The Furious 5

I actually enjoyed the first 3. Yes even Tokyo Drift. But i hated the latest one. Barely any street racing, lame villain, and the story was stupid. I also didnt like how they didnt say what happened to Tyrese's character or why Walker is back with the FEDS (or maybe they did and I wasnt paying attention
If they add Lucas Black and Tyrese to Fast Five thatll be great. I hope this one turns out good

I shall avoid this like the plague.

I dont know much about actor's scheldules and such, but could they have killed off Michelle Rod~'s character quickly because she had to go to Avatar?

Like how Cyclops died so fast and hes in Superman Returns

These movies are about the cars anyway...they can throw any story or plot but the real characters are the cars...that's why they've been so successful.

I actually enjoyed the last one since it had a good amount of muscle mixed in with the tuners (and I own both btw).

This one will make another $200 million domestic...

I think the fourth would've been the perfect way to end the franchise.

Like the last two, hated the first two. As long as Justin Lin is on board and doing interesting things, then cool. I actually like the idea of a legendary lawman, chasing them. Changing up the antagonist from a mobster is a fresh take. I only wish it was in Japan or Europe (they haven't went there yet) instead of Brazil.

One thing I really hated about the last one was the way Vin killed the bad guy at the end. He smashes right into the guy with his car and crushes him to death and then he calls him a "*****." Uh, note to the writers... there is nothing *****fied about a pedestrian dying via vehicular homicide. I know that he was a bad guy and we're not supposed to care, but I still thought this just made Vin's character look like a *****.

I'll agree Fast Five is a crappy title and hopefully they will think better of it...I do like The Fast and Furious: Fifth Gear and Fa5t and the Furious that some members came up with..
I also agree I'm not sure what else they can do to make it original and fresh...This one sounds like it could be a Smokey and the Bandit spinoff ;)
I liked in this order:
The Fast and the Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
Fast and Furious
Tokyo Drift

A couple of other titles the could use:

Five for Fasting
F&F: Five Finger Discount
Fast-Track to the $5 Bin at Wal-Mart

Justin Lin said in the commentary, and I wouldn't have minded this at all, that in the script originally Dom and Fenix were supposed to have a hand-to-hand fight after the final chase.

Well, I'm happy it'll be set in my own country.
I'm not caring much about the story anyway. I just hope it feels different from the last one, like the third felt.

The last one wasn't too bad.

Heck, another one couldn't hurt..

Which is what I was anticipating...that guy was talking so much trash throughout the film I just wanted Dom to go to town on him.

When he hit him with the car I was like: :csad:

I liked the last one. Probably the best since the original.

I picked up the fourth one on DVD cheap... like 5 USD? Better than i expected... some fake looking cgi but overall the action was good

These movies always seem to attract the wannabe hip hop turned actor like JaRule, Ludacris, Lil' Bow Wow, Don Omar.

I wonder what hip hop/rapper will show his mug this time.

Probably Flo Rida. Or T-Pain.

I'll be there at midnight. These movies are the best to go for the midnight showing cuz of all the cars that show up. The parking lot ends up becoming a car show after the movie. Every car parks in reverse too lol

Agreed, I can laugh at Ricer cars and body kits. JDM all the way!

Producer Neal H. Moritz on FAST AND THE FURIOUS 5 and 6!

Fast Five

  • They’re filming Fast Five (Fast and the Furious 5’s title) this summer in Brazil, Rio, Puerto Rico, a little bit in Los Angeles and some in Atlanta
  • The cities being filmed in are part of the story
  • They’re developing the 6th film right now but they’re not shooting back-to-back
  • Paul Walker and Vin Diesel want to do the 5th and 6th films but they are not yet signed to the 6th
  • There’s going to be a lot of people from the previous Fast and Furious in the 5th movie. They are literally finalizing the script right now. (I think they’re working on contracts with the actors and based on who signs on will determine who is back in the franchise)
  • They’re not shooting Fast Five in 3D but “there’s a good chance the movie will be in 3D.”
  • Justin Lin is directing Highlander after Fast Five and they haven’t figured out if he’ll direct the 6th installment
