Favorite cameos

I laughed out loud at Stan Lee's cameo in TASM.

Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder

Keith Richards in POTC

Rebecca Romijn as older Mystique in XMFC

Dan Marino in Ace Ventura

Will Farrell in Wedding Crashers
Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Tim Robbins in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy
Gene Hackman in Young Frankenstein
Bill Murray in Zombieland
Glenn Close in Hook
Ralph Fiennes in The Hurt Locker
T 800 in Terminator Salvation
Bruce Campbell in all 3 Raimi Spider-man films.
Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy (the Duke brothers) in Coming To America

- Lance Armstrong, Chuck Norris, AND William Shatner in Dodgeball!
- Martin Sheen in Hot Shots! Part Deux
- Every cameo in The Blues Brothers

And, even though everyone lists Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, I'd call it a small roll rather than a cameo. Either way, he is funny as HELL in that movie!

Colin Farrell in Veronica Guerin. Don't get to hear his Irish accent much, and it's a shame, because it's rather nice.

John Cleese and Jim Henson in The great Muppet Caper

how about Bruce Willis in oceans 12 (as himself)

- George Lucas in Beverly Hills Cop 3
- Sly Stallone in Staying Alive
- Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone, Jean CV Damme, MC Hammer, Danny DeVito (voice only), Chevy Chase, Ian McCellan in Last Action Hero.

Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy (the Duke brothers) in Coming To America
Ah yes that was a good one too.

The movie wasn't very good, but I liked Charlton Heston's cameo in the Planet of the Apes remake.

"You guys aren't gonna start suckin' each others *****, are ya?"

I loved that. Willis said that line with such glee that it seemed like he actually wanted to see some gay oral sex happen!

X D

Christian Slater in Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country.

EFA. :oldrazz: Crazy looking back and seeing Kim Cattrall in the same movie!

I never cared to see the remake again that it's been ages that I can't remember who Charlton played, was he in ape makeup?

Yeah, he was General Thade's (Tim Roth's) dying father.

Lots of people seem to be confusing small roles with cameos. A cameo is a major star playing a small, walk on role that essentially could have been done by a complete unknown, or even an extra. A small role is essential to the plot, but only gets a few minutes of screen time.

Cameos

Kevin Bacon in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Ahnuld in The Rundown

Patrick Stewart in Robin Hood: Men In Tights

Sean Connery in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves

Wes Craven as the school janitor in Scream

Sly Stallone in Staying Alive

Small Roles

Drew Barrymore in Scream

Hulk Hogan in Rocky III

Anthony Hopkins in Mission Impossible II

"Macho Man" Savage in Spiderman

"I LOVED YOU IN WALL STREET!"
*both give thumbs up after quote*
