The other nations in this deal want the deal to succeed. They arent going to agree to sanction Iran. So the US will have to sanction Iran on it's own which is not going to work very well. Iran will just conntinue to do business and bank with the EU and Russia which will bypass any US sanctions. And if Trump tries to start a war with Iran the US will have to fight that war without the support of the EU. That will be difficult because in Middle Eastern conflicts we rely on European bases. And any negotiating credibility we had with Iran is now pissed away until the next administration comes in and kisses Iran's ass and win's us back some credibility.

Trump hasnt done anything but put the US on a limb by itself. Iran still gets the benefits of the deal and they have the EU supporting them. The US gets nothing. And Trump gets improved ratings with his uninformed cult.

Trump is threatening to seize U.S based assets of any European companies that do business with Iran with the sanctions. Trump is literally dumb enough to further alienate U.S allies over Iran.

Cohen's Hush Money Account Got Funds From Korean Military Firm

Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd., which is seeking to sell its planes in the U.S., hired Cohen’s entity for advice on local accounting standards, a spokesman for the South Korean company said Wednesday. Clifford’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, has identified Korea Aerospace along with AT&T Inc. and Novartis AG as companies that transferred money into an account at First Republic Bank that Cohen opened in October 2016.

Korea Aerospace sent a single payment of $150,000 when the work was completed, the company’s spokesman confirmed, adding the contract with Cohen’s entity was legal.

Based in South Korea’s Sacheon, the company provides aircraft components to Boeing Co. and Airbus SE. It is the main supplier of wing components for the European aircraft manufacturer’s A320. The company also builds the T-50 advanced trainer jet, developed with Lockheed Martin Corp., and has sold it to South Korea’s air force as well as to the Philippines and Indonesia. It also makes turbo-prop trainer aircraft and helicopters.

The South Korean company is jointly bidding with Lockheed Martin to sell its T-50A jet in the $16 billion U.S. trainer jet program, competing against the likes of Boeing, which is working with Saab AB.

How the hell is Republican stonewalling of Obama in Congress any different to what the Democrats are trying to do to Trump now though? It's tit-for-tat childishness, everyone does it now. Welcome to modern politics, the last real bipartisan era we had was the second Clinton term, aside from the terror-related agreements under Bush.

It wasn't until Obama that the GOP went with the on record gameplan of no deals/no compromises and refused to play ball on just about everything from when they were in the minority till they had the majority in some branches.

Right now, the GOP has all 3 branches of the government and has decidedly acted against the best interest of the American people in favor of their corporate overlords in almost every single decision they can with the Dems being able to do f*** all about it.

Now whether going forward both parties refuse to ever cross the aisle ever again, as you claim, remains to be seen.

As someone on the outside, this is exactly what is being viewed as happening over there. the GOP just refused to play ball for Obama when he tried to make American lives better.

Now with Trump trying to help only the top rich dudes in the US, the Dems are doing (not very well i admit) their best to fight against the injustices going on now.

Stormy's lawyer can't be the only one that got this info. I HIGHLY doubt that this was shared with him by Mueller's investigation but I think if he could get this then the special counsel was already all over this.

As an aside, since my knowledge of specifics around presidential conduct in the USA is spotty, how much of a transgression would it be if Trump was basically taking bribes from foreign multinationals for preferential treatment and have other presidents been caught doing something similar?

Definitely not, people only ever see the faults in the opposing team, never their own.

Is something like this potentially a legal risk for Trump? Because it seems like it should be a transgression that carries a pretty heavy penalty.

If the stories coming out are true Mueller interviewed many of the companies six months ago.
