Because the guy constantly ranting on Twitter like he’s about to have a rage-stroke and who generally looks like my angry red-faced neighbor who listens to Rush Limbaugh all day is an expert on “loosening up”.

How much debt is too much? That you can't recover from? :(

There are ton of ways to save money that would make society better: cut military spending, see why other Western countries spends less money on health care then the US, put fewer people in prison ( the US has the highest prison population in the world) and raise taxes on the wealthy.

Republican talking points about small government and fiscal conservatism are just lies, stop playing their game and letting them define the terms of debate.

Does anyone know anything more about this accusation that Dems don't want us to release immigrants back into Mexico? I know that Trump isn't giving the full story, but I need some context here.

Pulled this from Border wall negotiations hit hurdle as Democrats push for cap on number of ICE detainees

The negotiations hit a roadblock Sunday when Democrats pushed to limit the number of migrants that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency can detain at one time. Many Democrats have criticized ICE for going too far in detaining immigrants who lack proper documentation but are otherwise lawful and some have advocated getting rid of the agency altogether.
So Trump, naturally, is completely ignoring the bolded part and just going with "Dem's want to let violent criminals into the country"

Oh... I apparently missed some tweets from yesterday (and I don't think anyone else posted them... if they have/i missed it, my apologies for posting them again). Enjoy these 'gems' as well:

Also from yesterday
(so, again, taking the fact that Dems want to limit ICE's ability to detain people who, other than the method by which they entered the country, have no criminal history and are otherwise pretty lawful people, and twisting it around to make it sound like the Dems are the bad guys)

Trump's tweets be like:

This is the worst lie. The fact that he refuses to acknowledge the sh*t storm Obama inherited shows how delusional he is.

AP News:: Trump to call for investment in artificial intelligence

1. why does this even need an executive order?
2. gee, whatever happened to that promise of:
"I want to not use too many executive orders, folks," Trump said during a March 2016 campaign event in Wisconsin. "Obama, because he couldn't get anybody to agree with him, he starts signing them like they're butter. So I want to do away with executive orders for the most part."
:o

btw: for those not keeping track:
  • Obama at this point in his 1st term (from when he entered office to Feb. 11th of his 3rd year): 77 EO's published.
  • Trump: This will be EO #95 (I believe)

We're now something like one trillion more in debt because of Trumpcuts

The lowered tax rates did raise more revenue than previous tax rates, they did not however raise more revenue than spending was increased. It's true that didn't pay for themselves and an increase in spending and so didn't reduce the deficit but they did pay for themselves, just not also the increase in spending.

Tax cuts can be good for increasing government revenue even if and though they don't increase it by massive amounts, positive without being miraculously great.

Remember how in the SOTU he talked about unity and compromise? That was as expected, another Trump lie.

He talked about unity, he diddn't even claim to be real interested in compromise, that was much more an afterthought, something that could happen and would be maybe nice and maybe not real good.

Writing that an amount of money offered for something by committee members is very little isn't particularly anti-compromise.

You can't know this for sure. There's no saying that the economy wouldn't have continued to grow under the old tax rates, which would have resulted in more people working and paying taxes. The degree of revenue we've been receiving has been steadily increasing since 09, and the small 1% boost we got in revenue could be accounted for by simple growth. And percentage wise, Obama got more of an increase in revenue without cutting taxes, 3 times in his administration.

So, even assuming this modest boost, in line with the trends... it still demonstrates quite clearly that tax cuts of this nature don't pay for themselves. It wouldn't have paid for itself even if spending had stayed stagnant. Got this quote from Are the Tax Cuts Paying for Themselves?
"the tax bill is producing about $400 billion worth of extra growth, with about half of that, $200 billion, coming from the corporate side. But the corporate cuts cost about $600 billion – meaning that the corporate tax cuts are paying about a third of their cost."

So, no president has worked as hard as Trumo, but the Dems are self righteous. The Dems are angry but he is constantly screaming at and firing staff.

Gfdi.

Abraham Lincoln didn't work as hard as him while struggling to win a civil war and pass the emancipation proclamation?

FDR didn't work as hard as him while leading us out of the Great Depression and WWII?
Don't forget Madison who's home was attacked by the British in the War of 1812.

Not even Madison was as attacked as Donnie.:o

Seriously when Trump says hes more attacked than any previous president it makes me wonder if he knows that former presidents have been assassinated.

And there have been Presidents who were shot and survived assassination attempts (FDR and Reagan immediately stand out).

Quick question, how often have these upper tax cuts ''paid for themselves'' and how often have not and driven up the national debt? Better question, when has the Federal Republican party ever managed to drastically reduce the debt?

This why I think fiscal conservativism is just a scam, Republicans only seem to care about the debt when in opposition, when in power, they lose all interest in that and jack up the debt through tax cuts and military spending? Why does ''fiscal conservatism'' never seem to apply to the military, you honestly think there is no waste or pork in the military and then they use the debt they created an excuse to cut social programs.

The military has more waste than any other part of the government. In fact it would not surprise me to find it has more waste than the rest of the government combined.

I just saw the racism from this morning. Somehow it does get worse.
