They'll do as they always do. Fox will play the disrespect angle, while ignoring republicans flat out yelled liar during an Obama speech. Or say democrats don't care about border safety.

Which has always been a mind boggling angle. Do I think republicans have become misguided under Trump, McConnell, and Ryan? Yes. Do I believe every republican wants the country to burn? No, of course not. Misguided or not, many believe they're making the country better.

So it's weird to hear the opposite. That they genuinely believe democrats don't care if we all die. That they just want abortion legal so bad that they'll welcome terrorists across the border to do it! Or whatever crazy theory they have. Some seem to honestly believe democrats want a second 9/11. Or that they want to take away guns so the government can become our overlord.

It's so crazy to say that out loud, given democrats are citizens too. That they think democrats want to become enslaved by the government, or to get themselves killed by terrorists on purpose.

Agreed. He definitely is a snake oil salesmen, or cult leader. It's all an act. Even other business leaders snubbed him before he won the presidency.

Amazing business men don't constantly file bankruptcy. Get sued a record amount of times. Have trouble getting loans because no one will loan to them due to them suing to get out of having to pay banks back. His money comes, at least in part, from shady actions. The lawsuit NY filed on him years back gave us a brief glimpse. It showed he cooks the books.

The counter argument is that he's a billionaire. Well, he won't even let anyone glimpse at his finances/tax returns to see if that's true. The way Trump nickle, and dimes the presidency doesn't sound like something a man with more money that he could ever spend in a lifetime would need to do.

Man... All he did was make sure that media outlets will fact check his claims. Sure, his shrinking base will eat up whatever he slings but he's **** at actually convincing anyone that wasn't already with him. But then again... What's the saying? "You can't con an honest person." I tried finding those statistics he quoted and a preliminary search found zip. I found many articles that did state in general overall declines in illegal crossings happening for close to twenty years now going back to 2000. So like most things Trump he inherited an already positive situation and hasn't contributed as much with his actions as he has claimed. I would like to see if reputable news sources can shed light on the numbers he put out there.

I think cult leader is apt, just because of how adamant and all foamy at the mouth some of his people can be.

My dad, who is a giant Trump supporter, called me a couple weekends ago to talk about how someone from the Trump administration came to the church to talk to everyone and how great an experience it was, so those lines are getting blurred pretty hard.
