So I'm still going to shut this thread down, but make a post-Presidency Trump thread that will not be pinned. I'll keep the Insurrection thread going for as long as it takes judging by the crazy amount of info coming out for that.

What if he gets another term in 2024? :o

But, but,but

Honestly, I would absolutely love this scenario. Idiot Rudy totally isolated. The likes of Billy Barr have already found that their actions over the last few years have left them with very low standing with both sides.

If they could convince Trump to say that, admit Biden won fair and square, condemn the attackers on Capitol, tell them that they were misled like him by Rudy, agree to not run again, in exchange for a non-conviction. Could this help to defuse the situation around the US?

That would probably calm most of the Trump supporters even if it doesn't convince all of them (some alt-right types would consider it a betrayal, and who knows what direction they would take after that), but I don't think it'll satisfy those who want consequences for the riot.

It'll never happen, anyway. He won't concede, and he won't condemn the attack with any real consistency.

I’m not from the US but I don’t think a one off speech would change anything as no one would believe it was genuine. If he started saying things like this every day for months then yes, but he won’t, at all.

My wife read last night that there is a clause in the rules that says that once a president is impeached he can't pardon anyone.
So the pardons he's already given since he was first impeached are negated?

Can Republicans Bounce Back Like They Did After Nixon?
In the final Gallup survey before his resignation, Nixon’s job-approval rating among Republicans was at 50 percent, and 31 percent of Republicans favored his resignation. According to a NPR/Marist survey, Trump’s job-approval rating from Republicans is at 77 percent (with 64 percent “strongly” approving), and only 15 percent of Republicans support steps to remove him from office before his term expires.

“Moving on” from Trump won’t be as easy as it was for Republicans to put Nixon in the rearview mirror, in part because they retained the White House under his successor, Gerald Ford, and in part because there was zero fear of Nixon making another comeback.

*******s.
"He never took a salary worth hundreds of thousands!" :o:o:o

Yeah... If anyone reading this ever made that argument... You were such an easy mark.

He and his family are low rent grifters. They squeezed money out of the public coffers in every way they could think of for their own comfort or enrichment despite all the things we shouldn't have ever been paying for based on the Trump's continual flaunting of their supposed vast wealth.

But people bought this bull**** and are lining up for seconds and thirds across the country.

Sad.

Her most memorable moment was the “I don’t care” or whatever it was coat debacle.

It was "I really don't care do you?"

But her most memorable moments have been when Laura Benanti impersonated her over the years:

She literally has no personality.

But then when it's Benanti doing her, she has tons of personality.

He still has all the powers of the presidency. Officially. Unofficially, he is under a soft 25th amendment. Doesn't matter, because all the reporting is that if he can't pardon himself, no one gets a pardon. Good ol' President 2 Scoops

Some of these crazies think Pence is a clone. That Biden is a clone or body double. They will never betray their faith in Q. Everything is still going "according to plan".
