I'm more surprised they jumped to so many episodes after the first season being just six. I expected closer to 13, like with TWD's second season.

Also curious to see what the writer's room looks like for S2, with the increase in episodes and one of the S1 writers being showrunner on Daredevil now.

This may take place a little before Rick went comatose...hard to tell...has WD ever confirmed the origin point of the zombie virus? Did it start on the East Coast, West Coast?

So this is only six episodes. Well it seems that will be enough to tide us over until season 6 starts. The Hollywood reporter just reviewed the first two episodes and it seems to be decent. The first episode is 90 mins and the following episodes are an hour.

Yeah the consensus in the handful of reviews I've read seems to be that it's good, not yet great, and that episode 2 is better than episode 1.

Just saw an AMC "look" at this for the first time (yeah, I'm late to the party). Looks good. I like the idea of watching the start of the epidemic. And the perspective of following a family is different enough from the cdc approach of the strain.
