Yeah they're not doing a terribly good job of disproving the accusations that have been leveled against TWD. Though, in regards to TWD original, I still find most of that whining idiotic. The only time it actually seemed deserved was when they killed off Oscar like five seconds after Tyreese showed up.

But yeah, three black guys (four if you include the guy Nick's GF was chowing down on) in the first two episodes? lol come on, guys.
There was also the guy in class who was sleeping, he had lines, and one friend of the sister who had a line, they were black and they didn't die.
They are just killing nearly every supporting character we saw in the first two episode except the main heroes of the series (and Tobias), and they just happen to be black.
Gloria die first, old dude in the hospital too, and their neighbour die too and they weren't black.

The main heroes (except some) will survive and the supporting character will die a lot in a zombie tv show.
They cast a lot of black people which is a good thing.

I just hope they don't kill Tobias.
The show is nice for now.

Just premiered here in the UK, I enjoyed it, it was different enough from the main series to not feel pointless or too familiar. It was a decent start which has piqued my interest so I will be tuning in next week.

I love the escalation and constant rising tension of this show.

I already like this season better than the first season of TWD.

I REALLY want to know if this is just contained to the US or if the rest of the world has gone to hell.

Imagine if most of the world is like that, but with pockets here and there that are relatively unaffected for whatever geographical reason. Like North Korea (little travel contact with the rest of the world, benefits from a defended DMZ to the south and a peninsular choke point to the north, a population already accustomed to a lack of modern conveniences and low caloric intake).

During Season 1 of TWD, the guy at the CDC said that the French were closest to finding out what the virus was before their power went out. Presumably, the virus went worldwide.

Whenever the family do eventually meet up and start to head out to the desert. I hope they swing by and pick up Tobias.

It won't be interesting to see how other countries reacted to the apocalypse.

Logically, the navies held out the longest.

Yeah ! Vive us.

An ok start for the spinoff.
Teenagers : the prettier you are, the dumber you are.

Why do people not like the druggy kid (Nick, I think his name is)? I think he's the best character in the show. Love him.

AFAIC, I've no pb with the drug addict teenager, at least he seems to have a brain.

Yeah. He's my favorite. And he looks like Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka had a baby with James Franco.

Yeah, the French were on the verge of finding a cure, but then the scientists were killed when they went to an outdoor cafe for their 3-hour lunch break. :o

I imagine your average Parisian giving a gallic shrug when confronted by a zombie.

You forgot the trademark "oh-ho-ho" chuckle.

Correct

"Eh, c'est la vie. At least we don't have to deal weez zee British anymore." :o

Damn right

You forgot the trademark "oh-ho-ho" chuckle.

That's Santa Claus :p

Fast forward to season 4, Tobias is going to be a ripped survivalist with a lumberjack beard taking out herds of zombies solo.

I root for most of the family except the daughter.

But she might improve once she realizes they're living in the zombie apocalypse.

I do think people forget that.

These characters only know what they themselves have directly experienced. They have no prior knowledge of zombies, and no reason to think that even if there is an outbreak that the end of the world is about to happen.
