Was sad to see in my FB news feed that viewership dropped between the second and third episodes. I wonder if they will regret taking that weekend off. :(

I think she's beautiful :hrt:

Watching the world fall apart is fun. Watching this family doing dumb things, not so much.

Yeah my feelings too. It's annoying seeing the walkers who are clearly not well, eating people etc walking towards these characters. And the characters sit there and talk to them like they're still human and everything is ok. Thing is walking towards you to bite you after you saw it eating a dog, and you're talking to it like "hey man are you alright"

Can't wait to see what the hell is happening on that plane they showed.

7 mil is still fab. It will be okay, IMO.

I'm guessing in their universe, no one had ever made a zombie movie, lol. If this sort of thing happened in real life here, too many of us would be clamoring about who got the "Zombie Kill of the Day". lol. :p
If this were anything like the real world the series would have ended after the first episode when people realized zombies were real and took the necessary and correct precautions, thus ending the zombie apocaplyse before it got off out of the ground.

These character sure don't know anything about zombies in this reality. But that's fine. I don't have a problem with someone not understanding what's going on and approaching a walker at first meet.

But it's stuff like leaving the door open when you know a crazed person is wandering outside your house. The writers don't need to make the characters do dumb stuff like that. The walker could have been outside when the 2nd group showed up and caught them off guard in the front yard. Glad the daughter finally knows

Hopefully that kind of silliness goes away. The show is fun though.

It's a bad idea to have a dog since their barking attracts zombies.

Also, I loved the city losing lights block by block. It was very ominus and implied that the family made it out just in time.

I find myself thinking of what I would do in these situtations.

It makes the show even more fun to watch.

Definitely agree even not knowing what a zombie was these people were the next best thing to being brain dead themselves. Leaving doors open, not taking better precautions, ignoring every single warning sign something really bad is happening in the city and then spinning in circles trying to figure out what to do. Even if the zombies were nothing more than crazy or drugged out people they still acted like complete morons.

I wouldn't be going around shooting them in the head but I sure as hell wouldn't leave doors wide open, the house unattended and a dog loose in my house without someone to keep an eye on it if only so it doesn't piss on the couch.

I find myself thinking of what I would do in these situations.

I can't help but do that too only to realize that I probably won't make it alive in a week or so. :funny: I'm not built for a zombie apocalypse!

All I know is that if I'm headed out to the desert to flee an outbreak and it's probably the last time I'll see my house, I will do a couple of things: a) I'm taking a shower (I'm looking at you Nick); b) I'll dress smarter (I'm looking at you Alicia and Madison); c) I'll conserver the power of my phone, iPod, etc. (I'm looking at you again Alicia).

These people are just to dumb
I thought The husband/bf was cool...BUT HE'S JUST AS DUMB AS EVERYONE ELSE

If Travis has another episode full of stupid moments. Maddie needs to go pick up Tobias. The barber & Tobias would make an awesome team.

I think they decided to make Travis one of the clueless characters.

The "everythings gonna be fine" comment seals it.

His wife will probably end up rescuing him a few times a season. She's clearly the brains of the operation.

Is Nick still wearing the clothes he took from the old man in the hospital? How did he not change in all that time he was home??

Too busy focusing on getting his next fix. How many days has passed since he left the hospital? Two, maybe?

They should have paused the monopoly game so he could have changed his clothes

Well look how long Carl has been wearing his dad's state trooper hat.

At this rate he'll be 30 and still wearing it.

If this kid had been homeless a long time, clean clothes might not have been on his mind at all if he wasn't used to having them. :)

I was a bit surprised to see the military show up and (seemingly) take control of the situation. That response time seemed a tad unrealistic to me. But they are hinting that the government has been aware of this phenomena for at least a little while.

Seeing as we probably will never find out how the outbreak started it is plausible to assume if the government was not directly involved with the cause (experimenting with a virus or opening a portal to hell, bad Voodoo, etc) it knew of it happening and started preparing (too late) to contain and prevent it from spreading further.

We never got to see the government's knowledge of the incident to know just how much advanced warning they had. For all we know they had anything from days to even weeks or months to prepare for it.

Depending on how/when/where the infection began it could have taken mere days to months of time for it to make it around the country and however far it has spread across the globe. The Walking Dead takes place in Georgia. This is in California so unless there were a large number of infected people flying on airplanes there is no way it could have made it that wide in only a couple of days.

Eh Cronin handled this pretty well in The Passage and it didn't go so well for the dude in Denver (I think that's where he was -- not far from patient zero). Mind those vampires were fast compared to TWD's slow zombies but once the mob reaches a certain size it'll get difficult.

First episode there were problems in 5 states. Third episode we hear state of emergency in 11 states and national guard getting sent in. That's in the span of 1 day. If you send the military into just the major cities (since it isn't designed for full control of the entire continent) that leaves a lot of people available to be zombified. Population probably eventually gets moved to camps where they hold out until ammunition depletes and then it's game over. That'll happen relatively fast since planning an operation that is orders of magnitude bigger than Overlord is damn near impossible. I'm surprised we haven't seen more bombed out ruins in TWD.
