I thought it was a really good finale. This season had its ups and downs but overall I think it was a strong start.
If it were at all possible though it would make an excellent place to set up and live off of.
I did as well. To be the military, they really don't seemed that well equipped or following any kind of protocol at all.Watching it now. I realize they have a budget. But does it strike anyone else as odd that they don't have any grenades, or grenade launchers, or any ordinances to hit the horde with?
Love how the military is portrayed as a bunch of *******s. Wow. What a great show. Am I the only one who started off good with this show but has completely turned against it?
I love TWD because they have some really good characters that I root for.I always loved all TWD seasons because the characters mattered. Even if it had its slow moments. That's because it was building them up and the stories. Maybe also cause in a huge fan of the comic. Either way I dunno haha.
Yeah, that was not cool. I think the daughter said something about the neighbors not helping when the military took her brother away. Seriously, what were they supposed to do. This family is unlikeable. Though I find Depp interesting. They must really hate their neighbors. First they didn't tell them and then they left the ****in' gate open. Cold blooded, man.
Pretty much sums up how I felt. With season 1 being only 6 episodes (as well as the 9 day time jump halfway through) is probably why it felt uneven. Hopefully they'll hire better writers and maybe a new showrunner for season 2. But I'm curious about what will happen to Strand and Salazar next season. So I planning on sticking around for season 2.It was a decent finale to an uneven season.
The family was following Depp yet ended up (not behind him) but on the opposite side of the door/hallway (unless I missed something). But it lead to some tension, so... I can live with it

Strand closed the door (so walkers wouldn't get through)without realizing that it electronically locks when closed. Strand was looking for Melvin (I think was his name) who was his ride and was dead. So he took a firearm and his keys and proceeded back from the direction they came to find the door locked from being closed. That's how both ended on the opposite side of the door.
I found the finale to be pretty great.
The only moment I thought was complete **** was when the walkers are pushing against the gate, and the fence is deflecting every single shot fired.

They're getting more episodes for the second season, so I would imagine the budget will increase.Pretty much mimics my thoughts. It feels pretty plain to me that they didn't have as much budget for this show as they do for TWD and this was kind of the indicator.
One of the episodes with Travis talking with the guy in charge said that they're mostly just kids. That same episode stated they're also patrolling nonstop since they're so limited in people, so they're exhausted. As to the incompetence of the military I'm just imaging that these are NG or Reservists and not the proper GIs.
