Travis needs to have a serious talk with Chris. Take him out to the garden and just have him look at the flowers. Just keep looking at the flowers.
.
Lol, he really, really should. That kid is going to do some damage before someone finally takes out. :(

Too bad that won't happen. Chris is their new Shane in that he's bat**** crazy and going to get at least a few people killed before they wisen up and realize he is more dangerous to the group than a help.

Anyone else roll their eyes a bit when Travis was complaining about how he helped Nick out when he had problems but Madison wouldn't help Chris? Nick's drug addiction wasn't going to get several members of the family killed, Travis. :whatever:

I don't know, Nick's drug addiction could have done that and they dodged a bullet but Chris is definitely a more direct threat to everyone.

The whole deranged behavior Chris has been presenting is only there to disrupt Madison and Travis' relationship. It feels forced and unnecessary imo.

And I'm not interested in the subplot with Celia and her group keeping the infected hidden in their cellar. I was fine with that subplot in season 2a of TWD and didn't need rehash of it here. I noticed this season has been borrowing certain elements of TWD instead being entirely it's own thing.

I was just about to post that Chris is the Shane of this show but others share my thoughts. Only that he is not nearly as interesting. The real question is can he saved unlike Shane or is it too late or do we even care?

we don't.

Chris acting like he has been reading fan comments about his character.

Perhaps he'll just wander off into oblivion. :(

heh, the actress who plays Madison, she always has the same expression

This one,

And if only Travis was more like this

That didn't feel like a mid season finale, imo. Once again this episode followed TWD formula, where the group separates and lose their refuge and are forced to find another one.

I bet Daniel is still alive. What happened to Celia? Madison locked her inside the wine cellar with those walkers, but when Daniel set it on fire shortly after there wasn't any sign of Celia's walker or mutilated corpse. So did she somehow escape? I'm thinking she did b/c she seemed nonchalant when Madison locked her inside.

The scent from the walker blood on Nick doesn't seem to wear off on the walkers for some reason. He was covered in it when he found Travis, which was during the afternoon, and when he returned to Celia's cottage, which was at night. According to Kirkman the scent from the walker blood and guts eventually wears off after a certain amount of hours. This show must be ignoring that rule for some reason. Even though TWD has already done this I was hoping we'd get a tense moment where the scent wore off on the walkers. Just to show that Nick isn't as invincible as he thinks he is.

Chris is really going to get someone killed soon. He already took a kid hostage and took a good swipe at his father.

Everything else felt like a rehash of the farm right down to burning the place to the ground.

Nah, Chris is going to kill someone. I do like how this group was a bit more mentally unstable than Rick's group. Figure a few more people wouldn't be able to handle the zombie apocalypse.

I find 'dark-side' Chris way more tolerable than whiney Chris from season 1.

I don't know. I find it less believable than Nick's newfound sense of invincibility.

I actually find Nick's sense of invincibility more believable than some of the other stuff the characters are doing. At least it is a known fact that covering yourself in zombie blood and guts makes you invisibile to them unless the plot demands otherwise and you are a noisy child.

I don't have a problem with Chris becoming unhinged but the writers went about it too rapidly. One episode he's grieving, the next he's either angry, vengeful, in denial, or psychotic. This character has had so many mood swings in a short amount of time. At least Travis realizes that Chris is a danger to himself and others and wants to fix him.

This second season has 15 episodes. Any idea when its coming back?.

Exactly. Nick's change is more reasonable and therefore isn't obnoxious like Chris's. If Chris had a previous underlying condition, they did a poor job of showing it.

I'll say this...I hope Travis and Chris stay gone for awhile. Let them be the Morgan of the show. The interesting characters are Salazar, Strand, and Madison. The show would benefit from a tighter narrative that focuses on the three of them.

Also, the show needs to do something that distinguishes itself from The Walking Dead. Personally, I was hoping that Madison would kill Ceila and rise up and take her place. I have long predicted that Madison is going to be less Rick Grimes and more The Governor. It would've been interesting to see her take over a cartel compound and go this route. It would draw a fascinating parallel to The Walking Dead. Instead, we have what is essentially The Walking Dead 2.0.

I hope Daniel came to his senses just in time to walk out of the cellar.

Both sons have lost it. Chris wants to kill everyone. Nick drank the kool aid and wants more of it. He also has develop a fetish of being covered in blood. 😐

Yep, Nick is by far the best character. The mother needs to go, or be set straight at least.

It is a condensed version of TWD right down to the same mistakes being repeated over and over again. I don't know if I will bother to return to the show in August since we've already seen what's going to happen.

I don't see it that way. I see it that he has 'snapped', which would be a sudden thing. Still hate the character. He has one of those faces you just want to punch; i just prefer his psycho decent vs the whiney cry baby from s1.
