Infinity War Feats & Power Displays in Avengers: Infinity War

Because her bf could have been killed. Her being relieved that she got help doesnt say anything about her abilities. It was a very human reaction

I mentioned it was due to Vision being a liability. I didn't say she herself was about to be killed.

That's not what people were going on about. They are saying she was having a ridiculously hard time keeping back the two Black Orders, while at the end battle, she proves what she can do. Only thing I can think of is that since CW, maybe she does just enough to get away, while Steve has no problem using lethal force to get things done.

I guess I misunderstood what was being said in that quote. I have seen people complain elsewhere that she was not on the battlefield sooner, and that was the sentiment I was responding too.

Very badass, both moments

Yeah, he called Quicksliver slow and has been described as being as fast as lightning.

Personally I never cared for super speed, tanks shouldn't need super speed anyway it makes them seem less tank-y.

I never cared for Thor having super speed, great fighting skills, super strength, weather control, nigh invulnerability, weapon mastery, superhuman reflexes, inter-dimensional travel and over a thousand years of battle experience is what I care for.

With Stormbreaker MCU Thor now able to travel through space and in between dimensions, so suck it super speed.

And if we're to belief that it was a leap that took Thor from the throne room to the bBfrost at the end of Ragnarok, that's a MUCH bigger super leap than anything MCU Hulk has ever done.

Actually Hulk leaps from behind Thor, on the Bifrost all the way to Surtur's head, who is standing in the middle of Asgard towering over everything and redecorating.

Thor's leap is less impressive because he starts at a high elevation and jumps down - although it looks much more awesome as he sails through the air all cloaked with lightning.

Hulk then grabs Valkyie and Thor and leaps all the way to the Asgardian ship, which is leaving Asgard's atmosphere.

Why didn't Thor do that himself ? Because when it comes to leaping Hulk is the king.

Dude, I think you are short selling Hulk here. Hulk has had a really tough time lately, so i feel the need to stick up for him. If he loses his crown as "biggest leaper" he might need to go into therapy and might not even show up
in the infinity war sequel and may never get his own movie. And nobody wants that.

Yeah the Proxima and Corvus feared Wanda. Just look at the battle of Wakanda when Proxima signaled Corvus when Scarlet left Shuri's lab. Wanda is dangerous.

My favorite feats besides Thor was Dr Strange vs Thanos. Lawd. :hmr:

I also enjoyed that little battle. I don't know what it is, but there is something charming about Cumberbatch's Dr Strange.

Exactly and lets be honest. We've seen how powerful she is, had she gotten mad enough, she could've floored both of them there even if Cap didn't show up.

It's fine if anyone disagrees but I didn't think that scene played like she needed saving at all. Yes, she was concerned about getting Vision away, but I have no trouble believing she could've taken both of them on and won in that moment.

I honestly wish Wanda had been THE reason the Order backed off. Instead... It kinda felt like an unarmed guy and two people with guns out muscled Thanos' elite.

I'm not short selling anything, I had literally forgot about that scene but yeah besides Hulk jumping at Surtur. But yeah Thor's bifrost jump is close to the level of MCU Hulk's best jumps.

Hulk still has his jumping crown, don't worry bro but Hulk and Valkyrie definitely didn't need him to carry them to that ship Hulk just did it on his own. All they said was "Let's go" and Hulk took it upon himself to pick them up, what were they supposed to do say "No Hulk, leave us alone we can do it ourselves"?

That would've been odd and unnecessary.

Random feats. Maw takes out Wong with a fire hydrant. Glaive overpowers Cap before getting stabbed from behind. Thanos takes out Panther after one hit.

Maw and Thanos were badasses.

Okay the Titan battle is by far the most epic battle in comic book movie history.

A class Avengers doing a near perfectly coordinated attack. Fighting with everything they have and then some.

Thanos' reaction? "All that for a drop of blood".

So legendary badass.

I voted for Infinity War bro, I saw this yesterday I think.

Agreed, I hate that my boi Thor wasn't involved I would've rather he had been there than in the Wakanda battle.

Thor being there would've ended it and we never would've gotten the conflict for part two, lol.

Yeah I know, Thor would've ended him pretty swiftly since he had to focus on all those different heroes.

But still.....it would've be an awesome ride lmao.

And let's not forget the clear MVP of that perfectly coordinated attack - Mantis. There were some negative comments posted after on set photos showed her standing beside Drax, Spidey and Iron Man. "What's she going to do against Thanos?" Put that SOB to sleep, for one (Stupid Peter!).

Partial sleep, but yeah she was the clear MVP of that attack.

Yep. I agree that Titan is the best cbm battle. Up until that point it for me it was the Smallville smackdown from Man of Steel, but the Titan fight is as intense and effectively juggles more characters. The best team fight to date.

Plus Thanos grabs a moon and throws bits of it at Tony - that's hard to top.

Btw MVP for me is Strange , no question because he sees the one future where they win and makes sure it gets set in motion - knowing that he'll be killed in the process.
That's not a power feat per se but a massive strategy/intellectual feat.

As those above have said Mantis also gets mad props for temporarily incapacitating Thanos with her mind meld powers.

The Smallville dust up was my favorite CBM battle before IW as well, but it got replaced even earlier in the film for me.

The New York Battle with Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Wong, and Spidey Vs Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian topped the Smallville battle for me as well.

If the Thor Vs Hulk fight in Ragnarok would've went on for another two minutes after Thor's it would've been up there with the Smallville battle as well.

Heimdall summing the bifrost without a machine or weapon.

Actually he puts his hand on the Bifrost sword's handle. I literally just got out of the cinema ( got the day off work and the wife is out of town).....and I'm going to see it again in 5 min- haven't done a double feature in about 15 years.

Also Eitri says that in theory Stormbreaker could summon the Bifrost - I think the power of the Bifrost is so great that it can't be channeled through a living thing ( remember that it can destroy planets) when Thor summons it in IW, I reckon its through Stormbreaker.

Still looks awesome though.

Yeah. realistically the only reason Proxima and Corvus were able to hurt Vision and Wanda was because they got the jump on them. Once Wanda gets her bearings, she casually tosses Proxima into a truck.

When I saw Proxima Midnight and Corvus standing right in front of Wanda while Vision is safely behind her. I thought Wanda was gonna use her telekinesis to beat their ass, as she had a clear line of sight and her bf is no longer in danger.

That still puts up my antennae- WHO ordered Stormbreaker to be made, and why?

I think there's a 'feat of power' in there, because someone in Asgard seemed to know that axe would be needed.

In my head I imagine Odin looking into it being made while foreseeing the threat of Thanos before being interrupted by the whole "Loki swap" thing took place.

Falcon sending Proxima flying twice with flying kicks was a nice feat.
