My sentiments exactly. Now all I have to do is wait for the next KH game to be announced as multiplatform and I will no longer have a reason to get a PS3.

I think a Wii version is more likely, after all...Square-Enix and Nintendo have been working very very hard over the past few years to restore their relationship, not to mention Square-Enix has been one of the biggest verbal supporters of the Wii.

However, if Microsoft has a bit of brains they will be doing everything they can to get this game. They need the Japanese market whether or not they want to admit it and getting FFXIII would be a HUGE step.

As for Sony...they are idiots for letting one of their biggest franchises slip away.

Calm down everyone bc as of now Sony hasnt lost anything. That article does say that the FFXIII project will not be a PS3 exclusive. Thats no surprise. There are will be 6 games released under the FFXIII name. 3 of these confirmed games are the main FFXIII and FF vsXIII for the PS3 and FFXIII Agito for the mobile phone. The first 2 are STILL PS3 exclusives. The other 3 future games however are not

I'm pretty damn sure that Square-Enix means that we will see multiple Final Fantasy XIII titles and not all of them will be for the Playstation 3.

- Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (Playstation 3)
- Final Fantasy XIII Agito (mobile phones)

And we'll probably see something along the lines of a Nintendo DS, Playstation Portable, or Wii Final Fantasy XIII titles.

If this is not the case then, damn, that's pretty damn sad.

In fact, the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII project isn't just limited to three titles - there are many different aspects. In terms of formats we're reaching, as well, it's not simply exclusive to the PS3 and mobile phones. In Latin, Fabula Nova Crystallis means "New Crystal Story" and we're using that as a base for the project, but there are many characters and legends that are branching off this main story and universe. I'll put this in laymans terms for those who rush to conclusions:

Final Fantasy XIII -- currently exclusive to the Playstation 3

Final Fantasy XIII spin-offs -- some will appear on the Playstation 3 and will appear on other platforms such as mobile phones, the Nintendo DS, the Playstation Portable, the Wii, movies/anime, or if Microsoft is lucky, the Xbox 360.

Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are still PS3 exclusive in fact that was clarified in the original source. The announcement was that Fabula Nova Crystallis isn't a PS3 and Mobile phone exclusive project. We already pretty much knew that.

Look for a Wii game under that Umbrella and a new MMORPG for PC PS3 360.

Final Fantasy XIII is PS3 exclusive.

thank you Zenien and Hippie Hunter. This "news" was misinterpreted. The main series is exclusive to the PS3, but others will appear elsewhere. This is no different than what SE has done in the past. The main series was exclusive on the PS2 but that didnt stop them from releasing games on the DS, Xbox, PC, and Gamecube

Did anyone get the new GI? Cuz it didn't sound like that. Supposedly the French Sony prez said there were meetings about its exclusivity. That would suck if Sony lost it. Lair, Resistance 2, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, GOW2, and Motorstorm 2 better all be huge.

That will be quite a few years before that will even be released and a while for non-PS3 FF fans to go without a main game. Yeah it could defiently change.

I wonder what the other 3 games in the FFXIII project will be like. They could do a sequel to FFXIII ala FFXII and Revenant Wings or a spinoff game like Dirge of Cerebus. I definetly think the PSP and DS might get a sequel
