Firefly's Fillion Moves into Castle

I have to say that I'm starting to get pissed that ABC doesn't do much to help Castle get higher ratings....specifically, time-slotting it in after that ultra-lame Bachelor show. Who the hell still watches that crappy show?! ABC should move Castle earlier to 8/9 CST/EST (and move the Bachelor to 9/10 CST/EST) and then I bet more people would watch Castle!

Not when they're all watching CBS comedies, that get more than twice as many ratings as Castle averages. Not to mention a little something called Monday Night Football.

Which I don't get.

Between my DVR, Hulu Plus and Netflix, I watch and follow a TON of shows. Not a single one of them is from CBS. You might say I'm missing out, but I don't feel that way whatsoever. I'm perfectly satisfied with my current slate as is, and I can't think of a single show I'd give up to watch something on CBS.

I can honestly say that the only thing I ever watch that is on CBS is football.

Really fun episode this week with a nice little Caskett moment and a fantastic guest role from Hilarie Burton! Not only is she stunning but I thought she did a great job with a very different character to her role on White Collar.

Really liked this week's episode. My favorite parts were the "Jason Bateman" scene and Esposito body-slamming Green Arrow (Justin Hartley). That was unexpectedly awesome. Liked Royal the dog too, wanted more scenes with that dog. What can I say, I love dogs, especially retrievers. Castle's line "MAN'S best friend" was hilarious at the end btw, followed by Royal's walking up to Kay.

Wasn't familiar with Hilarie Burton before, wow she was hot, and actually likeable too (unlike most "reality celebrities" on TV). Wouldn't mind seeing her in another episode.

I've seen Hilarie Burton on "White Collar". Barely recognized her here. Totally different character. Never knew she had it in her.

Loved the "Jason Bateman" bit. I've heard Fillion tell variations of that in interviews.

Man, I went on a really long Castle break, because I was too lazy to watch anything. And I just finished Season 3. That last Episode... T_T

Yeah it's funny - I've always hated her on White Collar, but that must just be the character, because I found her quite entertaining here. I wasn't even sure it was her at first because of that voice she was doing. Like you, I didn't even suspect she was capable of that kind of range.

Damn that was a fun episode, it's not always easy to get the balance right with a concept like that but this show pulled it off flawlessly, no surprise. The cast seemed to have a great time, especially Nathan and Stana with some of their dialogue.

This show always does a good job with the run order of their eps, this was a light one leading into the start of a 2 part event beginning next week.

I thought they would overdo the 40s scenes such that the concept might become too kooky. That does happen sometimes in other shows. However, it did fit into the overall story well and they had a decent balance between the modern day scenes solving the murder and the flashbacks.

It's just a shame Alexis was cast in the role of the villainess and ended up dying.

IMHO, Alexis was only the villain as Castle saw the girl as an innocent one when he started reading.... must have been fun for MQ to be able to play the role differently to Alexis

I also loved when he suddenly said Kate, as he read the story. Beckett's reaction was great.

That's what is amazing about the writers of this show. Next week focuses on the CIA, yet I'm sure like the terrorist episode from last season, it will be pitch perfect. This show can bend-genres and incorporate its formula with other formulas like no other on TV.
