Flashpoint - DC Animated.

All designed by Phil Bourassa too... Hopefully seeing the complete film will sway me on the designs.

Interesting that they went with the added robot voice for Cyborg. I don't think they've done that before with the character.

Still not sure about some of these characters being so huge-looking.

Not digging Thomas Wayne's voice. I imagined it much more gruff in my head while reading the comic. He sounds too soft. He kinda sounds like a soft Bruce Greenwood.

Just saw this. It was okay.

I dont think the voices matched the animation/character designs other than Thomas Wayne/Flashpoint Batman. There were some really good fight scenes though. It felt a little long, I found myself getting pretty bored

I thought the action was the most intense out of any JL movie so far. The story was good and I loved that we got to see the Atlanteans in one of these movies. At the end it has an after-credits scene
showing an opening boomtube with parademons spilling out of it.
Some things I wish they would have expanded on were Joker and more scenes with Barry and his mother spending time together.

It's very violent and mature, especially towards the end. No way I can watch this with my 6 year old niece.

This what you get when you get a regurgitated film......that's all they do now. Animated DVDs based a story from a previous novel......it's lazy.

JL and JLU had great "original" storylines.....Cadmus, Legion of Doom, General Eiling's Transformation, Star-Crossed....I could go on....

They have gone the way of modern music....computerized beats....no musicians....lazy quick fix with autotune singers because they cant sing.

I want some original stories released.

Beware the Batman
Teen Titans GO!
DC Nation Shorts

THIS line has a specific target in mind... to adapt exsisting stories. I agree however that a bit of variety would be nice.

I try to pretend that those don't even exist..........

Remember all the loose ends that JL and JLU left behind??

1. Doomsday Sanction: Doomsday banished to the Phantom Zone. Does he come back?

2. General Eiling becomes the "General" and trashes the Seven Soldiers of Victory. But remember, he was looking for Superman.

3. What happened to the evil JL from "A Better World"?? Do they turn on their Batman?

4. Luthor ended up with the Anti Life Equation! Seriously....how do you leave that loose end dangling???

I could keep going.......But DVD movies could be made by continuing those unfinished plots.

I think it's time we let JL and JLU go.

Why...?? Just because???
What we need to let go is lazily rehashing books......What is wrong with what I just suggested? It would be new....fresh. Why would you not want that?

Because the shows ended years ago and no one has officially expressed any recent interest in wanting to continue their stories on screen. Seems even more futile than hoping for a continuation of the Young Justice show.

Does one need to have people express interest before they put forth a new idea?? IT just needs to be done. The fan base is there. It's like Field of Dreams, build it, and they will come.

Interest does have to be expressed for something like this. The fans are not enough to continue a series. It needs official approval, and DC animation seems to have long since moved on from JL and JLU. I'd expect a new JL series before I expect the continuation of those shows.

Great story and characters, but I only have one gripe with the movie, I did not like the way in which the male characters outside of both Batman, Green Lantern and Flash were drawn.

Like Superman:

and Aquaman:

All I could do was cringe, anyone agree?

Aquaman was the worst.. his face.. it was like all he did was shove donuts in his mouth. It looked very odd.

What? Only "fans" are buying these things anyway......what are you talking about?

Fans just want good stories......and those were some of the best ever written.

What fan would not want to see this continued in a DVD?

Listen, the fans are never enough to get these shows continued. The fans wanted shows like Spectacular Spider-Man,Gargoyles, Green Lantern, and Young Justice to continue. Didn't happen, regardless of what the fans wanted. All that matters in the end is what these channels and DC animation wants. And that is clearly not a continuation of the long-gone JL-JLU series. If you can't live with it and don't want to let go, that's fine. However, I'm not going to continue arguing something that is fact. Like I said before, I see a new JL series happening before a continuation of a dead show.

Why do DC characters always look like they're on the juice in animation? :hmm

Supes' head is the size of a softball... I'm definitely not a fan of the character design work here.

I agree with you.None of these movies hold the intrest that Direct to DVD/Bluray films based on DCAU would have.

But I gave up all hope that they would throw us a bone and revisit it when
they turned the justice League; When world's collade script Into Justice League:Crisis on two earths.

The best we can hope for is to get projects with Kevin Conroy voicing batman or Tim Daly or George Newbern as Superman.Maybe there will be a project again like Justice League:Doom where several vets of DCAU are involved.

The sad thing Is with Bruce Timm no longer working on films the ine may be turning Into the new 52 animated films.

Ionly rent these films.I only bought films and TV sets of the DCAU.If they ever did a justice league or batman beyond animated film return I would first to buy It but I am confident that will never happen.Be great If wanrer would prove me wrong.

This was one of the better animated DC movies to come out in a while in a long line of good animated movies.

At least you see my point..........

We're going to complain about Superman's design when he is in the movie for no more than 20 seconds?

Yeah. Lousy new age kids and their adapting movies from books. Who the Hell thought that up?
