Wow...another voice of reason.....Rehashing a book is just lazy. And you can never get all the things in the movie from the book.
I don't mind if they do a book but I want them to follow it closely or not hype it up as a "direct adaptation" of it, if it's just loosely based off of or they borrow some ideas from it and use them as the plot then I don't mind that at all either, I just don't want to go into it thinking it's a beat for beat animated (or live action) adapted of the book. "False advertising" and it pisses me off.
Kevin....I posted early on this thread about making DVDs that tie up loose ends from those animated series......
1. What happened to the evil JL from "A Better World"? Do they escape and get revenge on their Batman?
2. I keep going back to Luthor and the Anti-Life equation....(epic)
What do you think?
I love anything DCAU and from that universe. I'd love to see ANYTHING done or revisited or added in that universe, I'd be fine if those were the only series they ever did (even though my favorites Barry Allen and Hal Jordan don't technically exist in it and are instead amalgamated into their subsequent comic counterparts in the series, everything worked really well for what it was), I'd welcome ANY features set in the DCAU.
HOWEVER - I don't need EVERY single question answered with the series, and am okay with not every "i" being dotted, I don't mind some of the "loose ends" you mentioned remaining just that - loose ends. I'd much rather that than them beat the show to death like the Simpsons and quit while the universe is still rich and full instead of dried up (although who's to say that could EVER happen with the DCAU

(MORE BATMAN & SUPERMAN TAS!!). Luthor having the Ant-Life equation is a pretty amazing way to go out, they didn't pull any punches with the show's ending and I was really okay with how it ended. Both times, truthfully, with the Epilogue episode and then later on when they decided to do another season. Both were great ways to potentially end the show, (although Epilogue resonates a little more emotionally for me - but I liked that they went back and did an ending that was more JLA centric). But if they ever did more DCAU anything, I'd be the first in line to check it out, but I don't think they need to tie up eeeevery "loose end" with everything, I prefer they leave some wonder to it, you know?
