Civil War Fly Like An Eagle...err...Falcon! - The Falcon Thread

You're welcome. :woot:

Yes, where Sam's all, "my dead BFF never treated me like this!"

Who sat by your hospital bedside and played you Marvin Gaye after your so called BFF beat you bloody? Who spent 2 years looking for him when he couldn't be bothered to even leave you a note or make a phone call?

Lol, but like no. Falcons from the Military. If anything he should see the threats to national security and the overall safety of the people WS has threatened and try to talk Steve out of this or something.

Poor Sam, it's all give give give for him. If Steve had to choose between the two, it'd be Bucky every time.

But he has fallen for Steve and where ever or what ever Steve wants Sam will follow and give.

I kind of hope that they portray Sam as much more conflicted, for the reason that ernesth100 mentioned. Also his comment about WS "not being the kind of guy who save, but the kind that you stop" in TWS and about "wanting to consider all options" in this one could be played as being evidence of that.

He was in the military but that doesn't make him some sort of government goon who thinks Uncle Sam (or in this case the U.N.) is always right. Hell assuming he's a veteran of the second Gulf War, then he's seen firsthand that the people in charge aren't always right.

He doesn't have to be a "government goon" in order to not be completely onboard with the whole "go to war with the government, our fellow heroes" idea.

I can just see Mackie now wanting to be addressed as King Anthony or King Mackie on the press tour.

Sam had some of the best lines in this. I really loved him. He's so worthy of being called an avenger.

I loved how he got to use his wings in new/creative ways.
Also he & Bucky were a surprisingly great double act :woot:

Sam had a LOT of new tricks this time around. plus his relationship with steve and that with bucky, it's so rich without having to shove it down the audience's throats. very natural.

Yeah, Falcon and Bucky were a great double act and would have loved to see more of these two together

I love Mackie as Sam and Sam shows that he is the best friend a Steve Rogers could ever have. I love his and Evans' chemistry together.

One question - the original wings was a military experiment and during winter soldier , it was destroyed. When he showed up at the end of the AOU movie , he had upgraded wings and apparently in Civil war , it also comes with a redwing drone. Who did all those upgrades for him and gave him new wings ? Stark ?
