For People Who Hate Frank Miller...Why do you hate him?

The art is pretty........ distracting. And I don't hate him just some of his art

I hate Frank Miller's characterization of Batman in The Dark Knight Returns, The Dark Knight Strikes Again and All Star Batman & Robin. Frank Miller turned Batman into a sociopathic brute that takes pleasure in beating and killing criminals.

I must have missed these batmancomics by him.

I don't know what's so wrong about his batman characterization in dark knight returns? I'm the first one who stands up if asked "who doesn't like frank miller?" but I get the feeling that dark knight returns turns from "overrated" to "underrated" pretty fast in these boards. I think Miller's explanation for why Batman acts like he does in DKR was pretty plausible. And besides that, I think that his batman interpretation in DKR is not much different than what we got to read in the 70's.

DKR Bats, while being a bit "harsher" than he might have been before wasn't nowhere near this "violent, caged animal" that many around here makes him up to be. Or I might have missed these over-the-top violent pages. But since I have read it many times, I don't think so.

I wouldn't say I hate him, but I definitely dont like him. Batman: Year One is great, but I didn't like TDKR. Bruce Wayne felt too much like Marv from Sin City. Also, his recent books(All-Star Batman, TDKSA) has to be the most half-assed work I've ever seen in comics. Don't get started on the Spirit film...

I think Miller contributed more good than bad.

and when he's good he's the best in the industry.

I'm more disappointed in him. He used to be a good writer but judging from his current works, it feels like he just gave up and got lazy because man do I hate All Star Batman & Robin. His previous is till good though, the Sin City yarns is still one of my favorite works from him.
But he gets a major for ruining The Sprit movie.
