I may get beat up for this but I'm not a big George Reeves fan. To me, Reeves is the Adam West of the Superman franchise. You can tell he never took the role seriously. He thought it was a joke.

I think Chris Reeve, Brandon Routh, and Dean Cain were better in the role. And, I guess I could squeeze in Tim Daly for his incredible voice-work in the animated series.

1) What is the point of "What-if" threads like this?

2) Why would WB even think of firing Routh, when they were gullible enough to re-sign Singer?

Cain and Routh should fight in the junyard exactly the same way the fight went in Superman III, except, this time Cain should should ask Routh "What did the closed fist say to the face?" then Routh would be like "...." and then Cain would say "Punch!" and punch Routh into the acid tank. Seeing as I couldn't actually read until about 1999, I always thought Dean Cain was starring in "The Adventures of Bizarro." This was mainly due to his acting. And Catman...that "No!" clip almost made me piss my pants.

Dean Cain was a horrible Superman. He just stood around posing for most of Lois and Clark: AOS. Routh was great as Superman, they just need to develop his Superman is all.
