I didnt like Anna Torv too much when the show first started but I really think shes breathed life into Olivia that just wasnt there at first.

All I know is I never ever ever ever want Agent Jessup to leave

Great way to start the season off (this is my favorite episode so far and there all good). Hopefully the story stays good for the rest of season 2. By the way did anybody see the observer (Very pale bald guy w/ no eyelashes)?

Great first episode. The Olivia through the windshield was really cool. Walter was funny as always and Peter stepping up was nice to see. I totally forgot to look for the Observer, so I had to rewatch it. He was at the car crash site.

I wonder if this is a third alternate universe? Broyles being kissed by Sharp, Broyles in 6 wars, and Peter is alive. IDK. It just feels like they are going to throw as curve ball this season like that. Can't wait to find out what's in store.

Just saw that the title cards are different as well this year.

Season 2 vs. Season 1

So now, there's another chick on the show that makes my care even less about Anna Torv?!?! HA!

I always thought it was interesting that it said Dark Matter in the opening credits. I dunno be cool if they could incorporate it into the show in some manner. Be kinda hard though I mean what the hell could you do with dark matter?

If Eureka can do it, Fringe can do it as well, I'm sure. :cwink:

I havent seen to many eps of Eureka. What Ive seen Ive liked but not enough to invest in it. Sanctuary seems pretty damn good though. What did they do pertaining to dark matter on Eureka?

Well, they didn't do anything directly with dark matter itself, but they tried to conduct an experiment this last episode that involves studying dark matter, amongst other things. The experiment went awry, and they almost created an extinction-level event.

I think Olivia is much better this season so far.

I can't believe they killed off her FBI buddy though. =( That was so sad!!

I'm still not convinced this is an alternate reality. Unless this Walter ALSO stole his son from another realty...which I suppose is possible.

This is the reality that we seen throughout Season 1. So, yes
Francis is dead, they way he died and how is body is disposed of is really cold

Am I wrong, but didn't they kinda explain these other realities as being realities that spawn from different events happening different ways?

For example:

9/11 happens -> towers fall (Reality #1)
9/11 doesn't happen -> towers stay up (Reality #2)

and then from that, another split

9/11 happens -> towers fall -> Bush goes to war (Reality #1)
9/11 happens -> towers fall -> Bush compromises with Al Queda (Reality #2)

9/11 doesn't happen -> towers stay up -> Bush is re-elected in 2004 (Reality #3)
9/11 doesn't happen -> towers stay up -> Kerry wins election in 2004 (Reality #4)

and so on, and so on.

IF that's the working theory, then it'd be very easy to assume that there are other realities out there that had THAT reality's Walter take a Peter from ANOTHER reality. It's just be another fork in a road somewhere.

Now, again, the chances of this being the case are slim, to be sure. BUT, it just feels like something I'd expect to see come from these creators. As soon as they open the there-are-other-very-similar-realities-out-there-with-only-slight-differences door they open up the chance to throw us a pretty awesome curveball: Make us think we're back to our "original" reality when we're really just viewing another one all along!

why wouldn't she be? she knows Peter and his dad

I'm just spitballing. I don't think any "alternatives" are here.

But in the episode where we first saw the second Earth, Olivia was still working for Broyles( think he had a scar) still so knowing Peter and Walt wouldn't be a stretch.

i wanna see them do werewolves or a frankenstein maybe a bigfoot something classic for a halloween episode

Fringe ranks among some of best and most satisfying I've seen in awhile. All the actors do wonderful jobs with their characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how things will play out. [blackout]I also wonder if earth-2 Dr. Bishop will come looking for his son and how long before they figure out that Charlie is dead[/blackout]

My favorite show is being produced in my backyard.:woot:

Hopefully they miss the dog poop

I have a feeling that this "war" was actually initiated by Dr. Bishop II, or at least he's a big part of it, including creating the kinds of tech that gives their soldiers the ability to shape-shift.

There's also a story to be told about Peter's mother......

Hehe,

That was kinda funny when Dunham almost took off Jackson's face. The expression was priceless, and I'm glad he sticking up for her, tho. She needs it, in the end.

That Walterism to that cop about the "Peeing in your Gene Pool" was priceless.

I'm curious why Nina is helping out Dunham, unless it's apart of her cooperation with Bell, and Broyles. I'm not sure, and that confuses me needless to say, but it's a nice twist.

Other than that, another good slow build, even if it was slower than the Premiere.

Hasta,
Ali

Didn't someone connect a lot of these cases to "The X-Files" and didn't the season premiere episode where Broyles is being asked about the Fringe division in D.C. Remind a lot of people about the X-Files where that division was being considered to be terminated in D.C.

Same thing with these creature episodes they remind me of the creature episodes in X-Files. All I could think of was the X-Files Peacock episode with this one with the inbreds in the house that I could swear looked the same as the one they used in last night's episode . Practically the same setup and also pretty much the same setting. It would be funny if they some how came back and linked Fringe to X-Files somehow down the road as the X-Files reality being the other reality. Not to mention it looked like the same house/location that was used in X-Files' episode "Home"? If not, it was eerily similar.

There's a connection... More then it just be coincidence. I think the possibility of Fringe being in the same universe as "The X-Files" is quite exciting I must say.

Fringe took a huge drop last night, a new series low. They lost 3 million viewers from Bones against Grey's and CSI.

I thought it was a dumb move to Thursdays especially against the top shows of the night. Hopefully Fox moves Fringe back to Tuesdays and shifts Hell's Kitchen to Thursdays. DVRs, iTunes, online may play a role but Fox can't see those numbers as acceptable in the future.
