France Rejects War On Terror

Let me get this straight, you don't think a substantial number of Iraqi civilians have died as a result of the "War on Terror."

Yeah....Why don't you get this straight for once?? People have died in this war on terror. But your issue was that it was mostly from US bombs. But it has been the insurgent bombs blowing up their own Muslim brothers that doing it now. So, a substantial amount of people have died as the result of insurgents. If they would leave, the Iraqis could have peace and our troops could finish build ing schools and roads then get the heck out....

So put the blame on the planters of the I.A.D. s.

so are you saying he should blame somebody?

I don't quite get your message

While I wouldn't say that you are wrong, because you're not entirely (the insurgents are the ones who are currently disturbing the peace), you have to at least admit that it is the United States's fault that Iraq is currently in the mess it is in.

How is that? We'd be finished with the rebuilding if not for the disruptions. And whose doing the disrupting?

Yep...I scan because you won't.

Because if we didn't invade Iraq in the first place and disband its army, the chaos that is occuring would have never happened. While we aren't making the mess right now, we certainly started and created it and the reason why I think that we should not withdraw is because it is our responsibility to clean it up.

You know, it's technically Abu Safaf (which does have al-Qaeda support) which does the terrorist attacks in the Philippines, and the reason is because they want an independent Muslim state in the Philippine Archepelago.

Al-Qaeda goes after Pakistan because the secular Pervez Musharaf opposes fundamentalist Muslim groups and supports the United States

Bali is in Indonesia, the attacks were conducted by Jemaah Islamiah, another al-Qaeda supported group, and the point of the attacks were to attack foreigners and there were several reasons for the bombing. To undermine the moderate Indonesian government, to attack the foreigners which were mostly Australian (which the Australian government supports the United States), and other reasons.

India is attacked by Muslim extremists not for al-Qaeda, but in support for Kashmir leaving Indian rule and going under Pakistani rule.

The bombings in Madrid, Spain and London, England were caused because of their governments support of the United States

Al-Qaeda conducts attacks in Saudi Arabia due to their support for the United States and they want a total theocratic government there

Al-Qaeda conducted an attack in Jordan due to their support of the United States and recongizing Israel.

Spain pulled out of Iraq 2 years ago and was still attacked again anyway.

yeah, that's pretty much what I meant. oh, Celldog.....poor Celldog.

I'm not against "War on Terror" to some extent

"War on Terror" is as good as "War on Crimes" or "War on Drugs". This things will never be won, ever. People(read: stupid ones) think this is something like WWII. It's not. This is more like the actions the police takes to stop criminals. Except that is done 100% stupidly wrong. The main idea is good, but you will never stop those kinds of people that are fighting for and the only thing that the USA is doing is creating more enemies. They know that. I'm ****ing sure of it. But they are just doing it in order to "do" something and to show "face" with the general public(read: stupid ones). They can lessen the attacks and the violence but not the way they are doing it as of now.

Actually Spain was attacked first and then they pulled out of Iraq because the bombings intimidated the people into electing a new government that promised to pull out of Iraq (the previous government, which was in support of the Iraq invasion, was expected to win before the bombing happened)

And 14 year old girls would still be raped at will. We never would have found those mass graves. Plumbing never would have been given to those that live in the southern part of the country. There would still firing squads for those that pisssed Sadam off. Brutalizing of the Iraqi soccer team after a loss.

I know. And they still got attacked after that.

So it's better now, with the threats of IEDs, suicide bombers, assassins and the like?

That big attack on Spain, that happened BEFORE the administration turn-over. Does this part confuse you?

I am not denying that good things have happened as a result of the Iraq War. Saddam was an evil man, who only could not be trusted but still represented a threat to the United States (attempted assassination of George Bush), Israel, and American interests in the Middle East.

Plus he continued on with his WMD program after the Gulf War, slaughtered his opposition, expelled weapons inspectors, and the fact that he wanted to give off the image that he did have WMDs at the same time give off the image that he didn't have them (out of fear of an Iranian attack and an attempt to appease the international community). Gave further reason for the United States not to trust Saddam.

However, because of his totalitarian regime, he was able to keep al-Qaeda out of Iraq (something that has been plaguing other secular Arab nations) and keep order due to fear of his wrath. Because of the American invasion, chaos has resulted and the mess has been created because we overthrew their government which kept and created order and disbanded their military which enforced order.

I still don't get it. USA fights with evil dictators when they fit their needs. Sure, Saddam was a bad guy, but there are FAR worse. Stupid selective mentality

I can only think of Kim Jong Il as a worse dictator than Saddam that is still in power.

At least Saddam had rockets that could work.

Kim Jong just poses a threat to Aquaman

maybe he's talking about the fact that the gassing of "his own people" happened 20 years ago , when the US was still sponsoring him.
