The Dark Knight From LatinoReview: Joker Intro SPOILERS!

Some info from that link I've been trying to translate:

Heath on the Joker:
* Heath Ledger on prepping for The Joker: “I locked myself in my room at a London hotel. I made a diary and then I experimented with new voices. I tried to get inside a psychopath’s mind, to empathize with someone that has so little conscious of his own acts. It has been fun, because there are no limits or boundaries for what you say or do.

[How I came up with my version of The Joker] a very personal process. It was a combination of reading all the comic books I could, then the script, and then closing my eyes to meditate how to do it. Since the first day Chris and I talked about the project, it was clear that we had the same idea of how this character should be portrayed. We had identical images of it in our minds.”

There's a whole lot more, but you'll have to find the magazine to read it. FYI: It includes some spoilerish info on the look of Two Face!

Um, I'm not going to buy a Spanish magazine. What in the cock did they say about the look of Two-Face?

I usually always agree with your posts but this time, with all due respect, I hope the gangsters are not too "old school" and too dumb.

They won't be dumb -- they won't have to be; they are serving a simple purpose of being fodder for Batman and The Joker. I'm sure it'll be told in a good way, but from what we've heard so far, it sounds like the mob will be getting owned left, right, and centre. A means of showing off the talent of both sides, perhaps . . .

silly ninny.

pretty much a staple theme of every Nolan film is the obsession of one or more characters. batman, as a high profile vigilante, could be an easy focus for a nutjob such as joker. additionally, batman comics featuring the joker often concentrate on his unhealthy obsession with the dark knight.

so its perfectly feasible.

But Nolan's films also provide a reasonable explanation for that obsession.

Sadly enough both FF films were better than Begins, and they were average at best. They were far more true to the source material than any of the Nolan stuff has been to the Batman stuff. You see, Batman doesn't wear armor, he wears cloth. Also, the joker doesn't wear makeup, his face is bleached white. The Batman of Batman Dead End is the only authentic portrayal of the character on film to date and the new films haven't done anything to change that.

seriously...this is the funniest thing i have ever read on this forum.

Cool, that's what I want out of this film : Joker vs Batman (with a Two-Face set-up for pt 3), not too many subplots, and no dumb gangsters, those belong in a Schumacher movie.

That comment alone tells me that it's a waste talking to you.... FF has got to be the absolute worst, most ****ing ridiculous superhero-franchise ever! It ranks right up there with Batman & Robin! "FF better than BB"... I could laugh over that comment, but quite frankly, it's not funny, it's scary hearing somebody say that; more importantly, it's soooo UNtrue! And the FantasticFour concept alone is so incredibly lame.

Well, you're right, it is a waste for YOU to talk to me, because its a waste for YOU to talk to anyone. You cannot tolerate any opinion other than your own.

Meh, to me he seems like one of these people who don't care about the quality of the acting or the story, or capturing the spirit of the comics while at the same time producing a film that's good on its own merits. Whether a film is good or not is entirely dependant on how exactly the costumes are recreated.

Thats because you have a child's capacity for understanding other people's opinions. Your opinion is the only one that matters because its the only one that can. When you gain some life experience you'll understand the difference between what you want to be true and what is.

That's what I'm trying to find out..........Nobody needs to buy the damn thing, just translate the article.

Of course it is, because you don't even understand your own ideas let alone have the capcity to tolerate someone else's.

I haven't read it myself (I just copied and pasted this)

This is wonderful if true; such little information like this really gets me going. [BLACKOUT]I admire how the Joker holds the money ransome itself rather than taking it for himself; it's actually funny yet intellegently thought out. [/BLACKOUT] This is already the best movie of all time.:woot:

I didn't read all the posts so forgive me if I am repeating earlier comments.

1-To the people who say this can't be because Alfred said the Mob turns to the Joker, let me say this...since when is Alfred in the know about the inner workings of the Gotham Mob? It may SEEM that they turned to the Joker but it was the Joker who is using them as his pawns.

2-This is the introduction of the Joker...not of...well..."Jack" seems a common name. While this may be how the audience is introduced to the monster, we may get a glimps of the man first. It may turn out that we see what Batman did...perhaps he had a hand in his creation as he often tends to.

I don't want a detailed origin, spelling out who he was before he became Joker...but I wouldn't put it past them to show us a little bit.

i hate it when Nolan fans try to justify everything.

I don't know if that comment was directed at me, but I'm just being realistic . . . I'll call bullshyt if it sounds like bullshyt, Nolan or not; but I trust Nolan's sensibilities in most cases . . .

I know the mob keeping money in a bank isn't as realistic as when the Joker shot down the batwing w/ a handgun in BM89, but I digress . . .

Dude, you really need to stop insulting people. Its going to attract the attention of Mods soon. Frankly, your actions are borderly trollish. If you REALLY thought coming into a Batman Begins related forum and bashing the film as you did was going to get warm, positive responses, you are sorely mistaken.

Just a friendly little suggestion.

Sadly, Im simply reacting to trolls.

Sadly, Im simply reacting to trolls.

Your on the TDK forums bashing Nolan's work saying FF is better. Yea your trolling. And don't give us that..."Oh I'm sorry I'm just giving my opinion." No your not, the mods see through crap like this. Be careful.

Saying FF is better then Begins, well go to FF boards and talk it up. Don't give us this oh you can't tollerate others opinions.

Your coming onto these boards saying BB is worse then FF, when IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes says VERY otherwise. So you are quite a minority.

What your saying is equivilant to saying: "Hitler was not a bad guy." Dude you are truly trolling, so just leave.

Sadly, Im simply reacting to trolls.

Yeah but are they saying anything that is actually Trollish?

A troll is "is someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an on-line community...with the intention of baiting users into an argumentative response." (wikipedia) When you came on to a Batman Begins friendly message board and said Batman Begins is boring, you antagonized a lot of people here. Me, I can live with people not liking my favorite movies...but this is the internet.

They are responding to you, so their actions are focused on a single person. Your statement was directed at the entire board, thus encouraging people to respond the way they did. Perhaps if you had choosen a more tactful phrasing or different language...but the way you posted it was asking for their flames.
