From The Pages Of... RPG APPLICATION
Screen Name: Venom160
Character you'd like to portray: Sylar (Once known as Gabriel Grey)
Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Sylar's original ability is to see how anything works simply by looking at it. Using this ability he has been able to determine that whatever gives seemingly normal people these amazing abilities is located in the brain. He is then able to acquire new abilities simply by examining the owner's brain. Sylar is obsessed with being special and that obsession has become a hunger, a need to acquire a many powers as possible.
Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): From a 8 to 12 page bi-weekly graphic novel by DC comics that fill in the gaps that the TV show can't devote time to filling out.
Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it): Born Gabriel Gray, the son of a watchmaker always dreamed of bigger things, of being "special". Adopting the name "Sylar," he becomes a serial murderer, targeting evolved humans with abilities, but doesn't discriminate against killing anybody who stands in his way. Having the power of intuitive aptitude, Sylar is able to see how things work and use that to take the special powers of others after killing them. The FBI has categorized Sylar as a suspected serial killer. His suspected victims are sometimes seen with their heads sliced open horizontally at the center of their skull and their brain removed. Other victims are pinned to walls, frozen, or beaten. Sylar is hunted by the FBI, but has successfully eluded and taunted them, growing stronger and more powerful with each victim. Sylar's activities have since been noticed by the Company, who have made him their most wanted. (Info taken from Heroeswiki) With the supers' existence becoming public knowledge Sylar has become even more dangerous acquiring unknown numbers of abilities over the last two years. Now, feeling himself ready, Sylar sets his sights on unfinished business. Old loose ends that needs to be tied......
Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Hardcore Villian.
List a few reasons why you chose this character: Oddly enough I connected with this character and have been interested in his part in the overlaying interconnected story that is Heroes. Plus it's ****ing Sylar! Who wouldn't want to play him?
How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: I really don't think I'm gonna stray too far from the original incarnation cause theres really nothing I'd change with him. If there is a differance it'll be completely unintentional.
Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG:An player with atleast 4 years of experience (hows that for old Byrd!) and a love for the games. Plus the usual booze, babes, and blunts.
How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: At the very absolute least once a week.
Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length: Im taken off guard by the new arrival. I Fire a blast of ice towards the knife freezing it solid. The blade shatters as it hit my telekinetic sheild.
"Let's see how you like me instead!"
I look up as see the new combatant coming towards me. She gets within reach and I unleash an uppercut lased with radiation halting her momentum instantly. She slam to the ground hard stunning her. I take this opportunity to freeze her hands and feet to the floor.
"Was that all you had? Hmm please."
I look over and lock eye with Mohinder.
"So this is the way this is gonna be? Fine, if I can't have the list im gonna take something just as valuble to you."
I raise my hand and start telekinetically throwing equipment and furnature until I finally find my target: Molly. I concentrate and lift her in the air and bring her to me.
"Molly! No!"
Mohinder gets to his feet and lunges in an attempt to grab Molly but fails. I smile as Molly tries to fight the invisible force that holding her aloft.
"You have two days Mohinder. Bring me the list....."
I glare at Mohinder as he stares at Molly.
"....or I take her ability and fine them that way. Two days..."
I bring Molly within my sheild and than activate Candice's ablity getting away as they're lost in a illusion.
