Well in the comics Star Lord is a humourous character as well, he was cracking jokes through out the Annihilation War in the comics, he is just a bit more cynical than the movie version because he has been through more, so it was totally in character.

Stark is a little more serious in the comics than the RDJ version, which bothers me sometimes, but overall it's not a big issue.

I read the Abnett and Lanning's rum on GotG. Seems like Gunn pulled more out of those comics then the older ones.

Stark has had his serious moments. He's not joking all the time. There was no way Math l was gonna do a straight up adaptation of extremis. Its way too dark. Granted they pulled some elements from it but IM3 was more based on Haunted series.

I'd have to say GOTG and Ant-man.

(And you can count me in the group that was less than thrilled with the dance off scene. I get why it was there, and it works with the story and characters, but it just bothers me. I don't know, maybe I'm just ticked they killed an already wasted Ronan)

This is actually a tough question for me. Guardians and Ant-Man probably had me laughing the most, but both Thor movies and both Avengers films also had some hilarious moments. I especially loved that bit in Thor where Jane backs her car up and hits Thor for the second time.

I am glad Gunn pulled from that run as it was great.

I wasn't expecting a straight up adaptation of Extremis, and Stark not getting it in the movie didn't bother me, and obviously the violence from the comic wasn't going to be adapted, however, I still wish more of the tone was used from the comic though as the finished movie was far too jokey for me.

Well, of course Gunn pulled more from the DnA Guardians comics than the older ones. Any GotG books older than those by DnA are about a completely different team in a different century. So him pulling from the only comics run that existed at the time that is actually about the team his movie is about makes sense

I really thought this poll would be closer, glad my pick is winning, but thought Avengers, IM 3 and Ant Man would give more competition.
