^ This. How many average characters are not stylistically drawn?
They've been sexualizing her since her inception, and it still continues today (see the above pic).
So it has become an associated part of the WW character.
You change that and you take something away from what WW is.
Though it's all a matter of balance as well. They went overboard with it in the NBC Wonder Woman pilot.
They draw nearly every female in comics with the same body because they have to churn out pages quickly. Comic artists learn how to draw from looking at comics. It's a self-perpetuating image. More of a bad habit than an accepted ideal form. In fact, it's a common critique against the Big 2. People want more body diversity in comics.
^ This. Let her be a bit sexy in her solo film (if that), but keep it subdued in her ensemble films, where she absolutely cannot afford to not be taken seriously.
You want her to wear shorts? Yuk man.
What's next, sandals with socks?
Well she is supposed to be the physical embodiment of female perfection. WW is also a sex icon. Not surprising given her attire. So yeah, T&A has certainly become an associated part of her look over the decades. It's unavoidable, she's in a corset and undies.
I'm not a man, meng.
I don't want sandals. and I think she should be sexy, not undignified. any higher than what I suggested and SOME people here think you want her to pick floss out of her hindquarters.
lol, no she's not. There is no such thing as physical female perfection.
It's already begun:

How come stars like Katy Perry can wear more revealing outfits on-stage than WW, and preach female empowerment, and be adored by young women.
Honestly, the one's I've met that love the traditional WW costume are young women and they wear imprints of Diana proudly on T-shirts and stuff. It's funny to me how it's main detractors are male comic-book fans who think they're occupying some high ground.
I frankly prefer the costume that isn't trying to make her some masculine power fantasy amongst the men. Women are better. They solve problems better. They're prettier. WW represents this.

Yes there was. My grandmother. I worshiped her and miss her everyday.

Smallville...skimpy outfits have literally ****all to do with female empowerment. Literally nothing.
When you have a female character, you give her an outfit that makes sense. WW wearing a spangley thong makes no sense whatsoever. It does not matter what Katy Perry wears.
I respect this opinion as well.Smallville...skimpy outfits have literally ****all to do with female empowerment. Literally nothing.

I'm sorry the Justice League has been reduced to a bunch of roided soldiers. In that case, yeah WW better chuck on some armor and get with the team!I am sorry to say that they the way DC have reduced WW to just a "just a hot female member of JL" is insulting to the character.
Her outdated costume has contributed a lot to this perception, time to give her some dignity and respect.
I respect this opinion as well.
This doesn't have much to do with your post besides you talk about the outfit and it made me think for a moment. But, speaking of the outfit, with how large artists seem to like to make her bust size sometimes, it's even more ridiculous that it doesn't have straps than it is in the first place considering what it's worn for.

Lol, no.
This isn't even worth debating. WW shouldn't be treated like a sex object. The end.
