BvS Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman! - - - - Part 16

You can't make out her ribcage on her chest any more, she must have gained 10 lbs of fat, good for her.

I never wanted a body builder type for Wonder Woman, personally I think there is a line when it comes to muscles on women where it goes from just being in great shape to being gross. Chyna was gross, alot female body builders are gross. I never wanted to see that.

Gal definitely needed to add some weight, she was really skinny in the Fast and Furious movies, too skinny. But she looks great now and is completely fine by me body wise. She's gained some weight, put on some needed muscle tone, she's fine the way she is. What's more important, as pointed out several times, is how well she does when throwing a punch or swinging her sword. I'm not too worried about that either, she was in the Israeli Army and has been training in several fighting styles, I think she'll be fine there as well.

The biggest concern is her acting for me, but I'm not as negative about her performances in the Fast Furious movies as most, her little scene Knight and Day was good too, the movie sucked but she was solid in that cameo. It's not much to go on but I think for an actress just starting out she was pretty good and she has a presence on screen, that unspoken "it factor". She's somewhat memorable in both of those roles without really saying much and kind of jumps off the screen, not just because of her beauty but just her presence. Obviously she needs to hone her acting skills for this role and improve but I thought she's been pretty good so far all things considered.

I would have liked to see Jaimie Alexander or Lynn Collins get the role, just because they look the part, have more acting experience and are two actresses I like quite a bit but after looking at the landscape of actresses and really paying more attention to Gal's performances, as few as they may be, I think she would be my 3rd choice now, above some of the other names that people wanted like Gina Carano (terrible actress) and even Emily Blunt (who is also awesome but not what I picture for WW).

I've become pretty optimistic about Gadot after my initial "shock" of the choice wore off. I think she's capable of really being very good in this role.

Like I said-I didnt want a Body builder type for WW also.I wanted athletic

Besides having darker hair than Gal what makes Jaime look the part of Wonder Woman?

Nothing. And honestly, I still think Jaimie Alexander is a crap actress. She was barely memorable in Thor, except to fanboys who had a hate-on for Natalie Portman from the moment she was cast.

I love me some Natalie Portman so **** the fanboys I say. :oldrazz:

Her legs are to die for. Her shoulders are genetically perfect. Her arms are no longer spindly. She actually gets a slight "chipmunk cheek" effect when she makes a genuine full smile.

She is now the perfect base to build an armored costume on. You can pad her chest and hip areas and her shoulders, forearms, waist and legs will make the whole outfit look fantastic. I'm getting a good feeling about the reveal :yay:

She was coasting in Thor 2, though. I hate it when an actor phones it in. Yes, Weaving and Hopkins, too.

Yep, totally agree with you there. Although with a script that bad (and with the supposed turmoil going on behind the scenes), it's not really a surprise. Still, I think I would have enjoyed the movie more if any of the actors other than Hemsworth and Hiddleston looked like they gave a crap about what they were doing.

Going by her short-hair photos, I think Gal is shaping up nicely and getting close to Garner's figure as Electra.

Check out the wider, sloping shoulders and thicker arms and legs. And a good costume can only accentuate Wondie's physicality.

The Problem is that Gal Gadot does Look like a catwalk model. And WW does need to look like Athletic just like Superman needs to look built despite the fact his powers dont come from muscles.

Nope, the problem is some people don't understand what muscles look like or what athletes look like. Some think all athletes look like fitness models and body builders who aim to look cut. Most athletes don't look buff just standing around, because their muscles aren't active and in use.

Gadot definitely gained muscle tone, but as I've said before it's going to take much longer to develop mass. But, she already looks like many athletes.

She also is similar to Garner's build already.

Pardon me if Im wrong but hasnt filming begun already? Its already too late for her to be "getting close".She should be there now, hence my concern.

Agreed...
Yeah, point is we haven't seen her on active mode. then you'll see her true shape.

What's so impressive about that Garner pic compared to Gadot? You don't see muscle mass or definition with Garner there.

Her action in costume scenes may or may not been filmed, and she's still training as we speak. Every chance she'll be in movie-ready shape.

How much different, if any, is she from Garner's figure anyhow.

Looks like Wonder Woman to me. So does Gal.

Can we please stop with the word "fanboy" it's such a overused and pointless word, everyone here is a fan of these characters and not everyone that has a differing opinion than you should be classified as a lesser fan or some obsessed "fanboy" that only sees things one way because they are a fan of an actor/actress or character. Using the word fanboy makes you sound stupid to be honest, no offense.

Anyway, I disagree. I think Alexander is a above average actress and the only reason I thought she wasn't memorable as Sif is because she is incredibly underused. She was still somewhat memorable to me. Looks as much like Wonder Woman as any actress I can think of. Would have been my first choice and was one of WB's first choices as well, they reportedly tried to get her but the Marvel contract and what not prevented it. Shame Marvel got to her first. There are a bunch of non-actresses I think look more like Wonder Woman than any actress but in terms of good actresses Alexander and Collins were my favorites. But as I pointed out, I like Gal as Wonder Woman and after doing research she's not far behind them and I like that she got cast as WW, just because she wouldn't have been my first choice doesn't mean I don't like the selection, I said as much in that post.

Also, I like Natalie Portman quite a bit too. No "hate-on" here. She was on my short list for Lois Lane (still prefer her over Amy Adams, not that I dislike Adams).

Feel the same way. She was very likeable, and sorely underused. The Warriors Three as well.

She is no where near that athletes physique. But it would be nice is she gets to that level for JL and her Solo movie. The more recent pictures have been inconclusive. Either out of focus or she is wearing very baggy cloths.

How could you tell what Traue looked like in MoS?

I ask myself the same question when people try and compare the two, for better or worse.

Gal has definitely put some meat on.

She's definitely gained some weight, which is great.

Wonder Woman shouldn't look like a catwalk model. She also doesn't need to be that muscular. Her strength and athleticism doesn't come from her muscles.

Superman says hello.

To be brutally honest,I dont see it.I see a gorgeous hair. And sheclearly has gained a little bit of weight.ButAthletic? Not at all.

Yeah, I don't see it either.

How can you say she is nowhere near that athelete's physique AND that the recent pictures are inconclusive? Those are contradictory statements.

Either it is conclusive or it isn't...
