Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman! - - - - Part 24

Monica Lewinsky use to write poetry about me and I think it applies to that Wonderful Gal pic above my sweet tire eyes. ''My love said she would marry only me, and Jove himself could not make her care, for what women say to lovers, you'll agree, one writes on running water, or on air.''

Gal sings like a nightingale. She has a beautiful voice. And I bet she has a wonderful bedside manner like Florence Nightingale.

Imagine if in the war when she isnt in Wonder Woman mode.. she is like a Dr/ nurse like in the comics? like Florence Nightingale.. It would be dope

If the title is referring to Florence Nightingale, it does harken to women's history, especially during wartime.

It would be nice to see Diana doing those sorts of things, as her helping people, caring, nurturing, involved with the events of the times etc. are great things to see about her.

That's like the 3rd or 4th video I've seen regarding her name :funny:

I've been saying it with a more French pronunciation, Gal Gadot (Guh-Dough)

So her name is pronounced how it's spelt? Who would've thought? :oldrazz:

Sorta. Though… Gal is more like “gaul” and Gadot, apparently, is “ga-DOTE” (rhymes with “coat”) - not "ga-DOT."

Americans (perhaps unfairly) are often accused of mangling foreign names. And French - with its many silent letters - is especially tricky. So it was probably with the best of intentions that folks assumed Gal’s last name was correctly pronounced with a silent “T” - like Margo[t] or Stephen Colber[t] or (close spelling) the famous Samuel Beckett play, Waiting for Godo[t]. Alas, Ms Gadot is not French. :cwink:

Code names mean nothing for the movie.

MOS was Autumn Frost
BvS was Sage & Milo
Suicide Squad was Bravo 14

I've been saying it like that ever since I read it 6 years ago. :woot:

If her name were pronounced how it's spelled, it would be spelled "Guhdote".

It's fair, but only because English is a mess of a language with no consistent rules for pronunciation, so there's no consistent way to tell pronunciation other than prior knowledge.

Not that German is that much better...

Sage & Milo did mean something. The one was the experienced the other one wasn't. Superman and Batman to say the least.

Did you watch the video at the top of this page? It's not pronounced 'gaul' at all. The surname I'll give you. I obviously misheard that. At least I didn't think it was a silent T. :woot:

Ga-dot.

There.

Hnnngh.

It's definitely not Gaul. Gal is almost like it's pronounced Garl or Gull, but if you over-emphasise that, it comes out wrong.

I was reading "The Return of Bruce Wayne" quite recently and have noticed that Wonder Woman there reminds me of Gadot:

Nice T-shirt. And Gal looks like she's not wearing any make up, but she looks as gorgeous as ever. She is one of these naturally beautiful women who doesn't need make up to even look decent, because sometimes she actually looks better without it.
