Well, Milligan, this is a nice mess you've got us into. Why, why did you make Gambit death!? He didn't do a GODDAMN thing! He was taken out first!

The one good thing about the issue was Apocalypse's line about how the only people worthy of his respect are the same people that oppose him. That was an okay piece of writing... in one huge pile of crappy writing.

Yup, thank god that storyline is over so we can all move on. Hopefully our beloved Gambit will show up later to do something good for us.

Ah yes, my favourite thread I hope Gambit returns in ult. x-men. The way Vaughan wrote him reminded me of when he first appeared.

What exactly reminded you of when he first appeared? The fact that he was a begger on the streat or the Jewfro?

Definitely the Jewfro His whole demeanor. He's a good guy in a bad way, just like the old Gambit. He would do anything to win a fight unlike most x-men.

Having just read X-men 187 I am now convinced that Marvel has completely and utterly destroyed Gambit. There is nothing left of the character created by Claremont.
He had cool powers. Now he has booger powers.
He was an anti hero. Now he's a bad guy who also happens to be a suck-up.
He was a romantic prince charming kind of guy. Now he hits the woman he's supposed to love because he has a man crush on Sunfire.
He used to look hot!
Now he looks like something Iggy Pop crapped out.

This is not the character I fell in love with, and at this point I'm just curious how much worse it can get. I guess I'm a bit of a masochist

Well, hopefully he'll hang with Sinister quietly for a while and then someone better than Milligan (Like that's hard) will come up with a way to bring him back to coolness.

I doubt that. Squeek, I'm this close to giving up hope we will ever get our Gambit back. They messed him up so bad.

Yeah that's the spirit. Gambit will once again be his cool self. Uncanny just needs a new writer. One who actually understands the characters and their personalitys. Milligan you tried but it is plain to see you suck at writing X-men.

I finally got the issue where Gambit tried to kill rogue, he truly has lost it and her.

Meh, i don't mind him and Rogue not being together. It has been fun but now it's time for a change. So what's in store for the cajun card shark? Will we see him any title soon?
