Cersei getting strangled by Jaime in Casterly Rock season 8.

Decent "move all the pieces" episode.

It does feel like we've gone on a long journey with these characters and everyone is selling the worn and weary aspect. ASOIAF is a generational tale and there's a meta aspect to it, insofar as some of the best actors in history have come and gone through this show, and now it's Nikolaj Coster-Waldau doing the heavy lifting has become a really strong character actor in his own right.

The Hound and Brotherhood scene was fun. Hound burying the farmer and his daughter is a nice homage to the Gravedigger of the books. I really look forward to these guys interacting with Tormund and the Wildlings. There should be a nice Neil Marshall gallows humour aspect to it.

Sam's bedpan/soup montage was awful, but it reminds me of the emo Peter's dance sequence in the Jazz club in Spider-Man 3 in terms of sheer out of place WTFery that I can't help but be amused at it. But the whole Old Town thing seems extremely pointless if dragon glass is all we learn about.

A very wise man summed up my thoughts perfectly on Euron and Cersei's scene, in that we're getting Captain Boomerang instead of Mason Verger. The "You killed your brother" "You should try it" exchange was great.

The only thing I outright hated from the episode other than Dany's mere presence was Ed Sheeran's cameo. It was too on the nose and felt like something out of a Schumacher Batman movie or 90's Network TV show, HEY LOOK GUYS IT'S THIS FAMOUS SINGER.

Really liked this episode. The Hound got about a dozen one-liners and I ain't complaining.

**** Ed Sheeran, though.

Euron and the Hound were both the one liner kings of this episode.

Did anyone else noticed how Euron glanced at the Mountain when he leaned towards Jaime? He now knows that The Mountain only defends Cersei.
I guess there could be a Jaime vs Euron fight?
Who knows???

I really liked the premiere. This is how a season stars.

This Euron was far more enjoyable than last year.

Both Arya's scenes were excellent, with the massacre at the Twins and her talk with the "more humane" Lannister soldiers( also I don't understand the hate Ed Sheeran is receiving here).

Loved Dragonstone's scene. Visually spectacular.

The Northern scenes were great (Giant Walkers!!!!). Glad to see Edd back.

I loved Sansa and Jon's bickering. They were both right but I will give my vote to Jon because he was right about Sansa undermining him in front of the Lords.

I enjoyed Sam's scenes (pretty much more screentime than last year lol).
Also Profesor Slughorn!!!!!

was that Nymeria on next episode promo? My bet is Arya tries to kill the lannister soldiers and she's aided by Nymeria?
Maybe she eats Ed Sheeran ????????????

Sorry for my awful English

Just wondering if it's been theorized before (I'm not trekking through oodles of pages to check....) .....

We've theorized for ages about who may kill Cersei; Jamie, Tyrion, Jon, etc. All because of this 'valonqar' that was prophesied. Well I'm wondering if this Cersei and Euron team up may be deadly.....for Cersei. Afterall, Euron is a 'little brother' (of Balon). He's wild, erratic, but also clever. As noted above, I think he was testing the waters with Cersei to see what her protection was like and whom she keeps close. He knows the Mountain guards her but not Jamie. Perhaps he will turn her against Jamie, and then as Cersei perhaps kills Jamie, Euron will kill Cersei......

Anybody else love how Jaimie's basically silently screaming throughout all his scenes? He's not angry, he's not afraid, he's basically just incredibly depressed and freaked out by how everything's fallen apart.

I figure that all leads to the Field of Fire Redux scenes from the season trailer. At this point, I could see Jaime thinking "you know what, **** it, I'm going to stab this dragon in his smug stupid face".

Bc he is a orange rat. Seriously he should just stick to stealing peoples songs and stop taking up screentime which could go to good characters like Cersei and Sansa smh

Meanwhile if Sia got a guest spot on GoT... :o

From what I understand, the Ed Sheeren cameo was a present to Maisie Williams (as she is a big fan of his). They wanted to surprise her with that.

It's pretty harmless lol.

It's not like sheeran is the only musician to appear on the show. Wilko Johnson of doctor feelgood, snow patrol frontman Gary lightbody, Coldplay drummer will champion, sigur ros, mastodon, of monsters and men and Raleigh Ritchie have all appeared.

Never mind Sheeran Thomas Turgoose was the cameo that ruled.

that topknot isn't fooling anyone you bald ****

Method acting.

Couldn't tell if that is Euron Greyjoy or Austin Aries.

Both are possibly homeless at this point.

Jaimie continues to be the most interesting part of the show for me. But that Dragonstone scene.

Jerome Flynn, too.

I didn't have a problem with it myself, but I would say that most of those are less mainstream acts and/or playing background extras.
