I don't think so. When retailers break the street date by a few days Microsoft doesn't really punish the players, I think......maybe... possibly.

I really wish I was interested in the special edition for Gears 3, Gears was the first game to get my attention and convince me to buy a 360 back in 2006. I would love to go out with Gears with a bang but a combination of nothing interesting me enough for the special edition and money being tight just makes me feel like getting the regular edition.

Nah, the game retailer would get in trouble for that not you. Your boss might tell you not to play it until midnight, but if it's already come out 15 hours earlier in other parts of the world, I don't see anyone getting in trouble

Igns is on thursday. There is some sort of patch comin out on monday before midnight that may screw up some of your unlocks

Midnight Launches is fine. But being able to play the game a week early due to stores breaking the street date. Those people should get their ranks reset

That's still not the consumers fault. It would make no sense to reset their ranks. Punish the retailer not the player

since you rank up in any mode now and ranks only offer you cosmetic changes unlike Cod there is no point to reset the rank.

I would assume it will be up before each time zone's midnight launch. I think they only thing it might screw up is the veteran gear.

Epic has something like if anyone plays it early no matter how they get it they will not be able to unlock some weapons like golden guns etc

That IGN review was the reviewers first game review. His only problem is occasional cheesiness in dialogue? I LOVED all the dialogue and story in the previous games, so I'll raise that to a perfect 10 :P

Going by the beta, the game played damn near flawlessly, so as long as the SP isn't complete s**t, then this looks to be as good a shooter as any.

Hey people. If you're unspoilt on the Gears 3 story (and give a **** about it) pls don't play Horde before you complete the campaign as I've heard there might be some kind of campaign spoiler in there.
