I don't think so. When retailers break the street date by a few days Microsoft doesn't really punish the players, I think......maybe... possibly.
Nah, the game retailer would get in trouble for that not you. Your boss might tell you not to play it until midnight, but if it's already come out 15 hours earlier in other parts of the world, I don't see anyone getting in trouble
when do the reviews start popping up for this game?
Why the hell would they reset the ranks on people getting the game legitimately through midnight launches or retail outlets?
Midnight Launches is fine. But being able to play the game a week early due to stores breaking the street date. Those people should get their ranks reset

But they've still legally and legitimately obtained the game? In that case, Epic and Microsoft can sue the retailer or claim financial compensation, it's not the consumers problem.
