He used to look exactly like him with the hairstyle he had during his peak wrestling days. Plus had the actual video game size lol. Still definitely want him in the role. It’s obviously destinedI haven't played these games in over a decade but I'm on board if Bautista plays Fenix.
Haha I didn't know that skin was a thing. I just looked it up and he fits right in, lolHe used to look exactly like him with the hairstyle he had during his peak wrestling days. It’s obviously destined- and then being able to use an official Batista skin for Marcus in the game made it even more obvious.
Haha yeah, even though it’s with his up to date haircut he is still definitely Marcus.Haha I didn't know that skin was a thing. I just looked it up and he fits right in, lol
Wow, didn't expect anyone on that level taking this up! My excitement is a lot higher now.
Let's see if this actually happens. I have my doubts.

I’m don’t know much about the Mass Effect thing. Was anything ever released or close to? That would probably have been my no.1 game to translate to live action. We'll see if he can crack it though. Mark Protosevich couldn't crack Mass Effect, and the production company made a big deal about that movie deal, even had a panel or announcement at Comic-Con as I recall.
I also recall the Uncharted movie getting fanfare at Comic-Con in like 2009. The movie didn't come out until 2022.

As for Uncharted I would have taken a 10 year delay if they got it right and cast it properly.
"It was the first game adaptation I did and it will probably be the only one. They’re hard. I will freely admit it was hard. Because - especially with Mass Effect - there’s just so much material. Narratively, with the game, you’re talking about nine, ten hours of narrative you’re jamming into two hours."
What a shame they couldn’t make something good from all this. Mass Effect in live action true to the game could be an an amazing appearance. Looks like there are many challenges involved in working on them though.'Mass Effect' Movie Team Coming To Comic-Con

So Legendary Pictures has a Mass Effect panel at Comic-Con. This was back in 2011. So almost 12 years ago now.

So here's the last I heard of it, and this was 10 freaking years ago:
Not sure if the rights ever reverted after this.
But this goes to show you how even if you have a popular IP, developing a media adaptation takes years and things can move at a glacial pace.
Mass Effect could only work as a show with the budget of something like GoT.
It would be a bit of a risk, but could also really catch people’s imaginations and be a hit if they captured the magic of the games.
I'm not sure how you would be able to satisfy fans since a lot about Mass Effect is about player choice. Also, you can tailor your character or Sam Shepard to fit your playstyle, ie male or female. You can customize Shepard down to his/her skin color.
For example, in a media adaptation, do you have Sam as a man or a woman? How do you adapt that without ticking off people and creating media hysteria? Granted you can never satisfy everyone with someone like this, but if you were to pick male Shepard it would cause outrage.
