The surface Battle of Scarif looks like it might rival Hoth for best land battle in the franchise.

I know this is blasphemy but I never cared that much about the actual battle of Hoth except for a few key moments.

Next time you criticize something I expect an invite to that thread! Haha but I know you have, I've poked at you about this before, hence the "reoccuring" jab, if you will. It's only cause I like you though!

And did it? I guess I remembered wrong. That being said I have to acknowledge a bias.. the opening crawl and theme has always been one of my favorite parts of Star Wars.

Saving it for the title films really does make it more of a luxury for sure.

I was watching TFA today before work. I just can't wait to see a modern vader and what he can do.

Should come by the Supergirl/Flash threads to see my hatred run rampant for James Olsen and Iris West. In particular Iris and Barry's relationship. Extremely forced and I hate it haha. Or Agents of Shield, my hatred for Daisy/Skye/Quake whatever the **** stupid name they keep giving her :oldrazz:

But back to Star Wars. Yeah I'm excited to see the battle on Scarif. It has a lot of potential.

Whose ready to buy some tickets tonight!

Right here! We will get opening tickets for IMAX and IMAX for the morning after.

Just booked mine, after an absolute debacle with the cinema.

Care to share supes?

I'll take any opportunity to vent. :p

Not a huge thing, just frustrating. I'm booking on behalf of me and three others, so I got up nice and early to do it right as it started. It goes up, and low and behold... No 2D screenings until 3:00am! What the hell?! So scouring to make sure I hadn't missed and obvious 2D 12:01am (I hadn't), I give up, call one of my friends (no answer) then text to say 10:10am then next day is the best on offer. No answer, seats filling up... So I just book. Then right after the "no refunds allowed", $104.00 booking is confirmed... Freaking 2D screenings appear. So I call the theatre and tell them "What the ****?!". The very nice girl says they're putting up all the showings one at a time, and she transfers the tickets over to the other screen... But, the only seats available are the exact ones we saw TFA in (which had us having to turn our heads back and forward to see the whole screen). So after that's all done, I see on the website... Even more 2D screenings have gone up! So I freakin' call back! Same girl, again very nice, changes them over to the new one. Smaller screen, but prime seating.

I saw right after that more going up with bigger screens, but screw it. I'm not doing that again (until Ep VIII, I guess)... Between this and last years, I'm slowly figuring the best way to go about all this. :D

So that was my morning from 7:00am-8:00am. Now I've got to shower and go to a surprisingly stressful scoring session for my short film... Which will screen just three or four hours before we see RO, in a different theatre!

4 tickets cost you $104? For 2D? :funny:

It's Australia, everything's more expensive (we're better paid though... for now). 3D tickets (a format I thankfully have no interest in) are $27 each.

My final cost when I got everything sorted out (and switched to the smaller screen) was $84. Three of those tickets being reimbursed by my friends, obviously.

Fandango won't load. Already got screwed out of the tickets I wanted.

IMAX Tickets bought for Thursday at 7PM and Friday at Noon!

You need to get more friends with Telstra for Movie Thanks :)

Didn't get opening night, but got afternoon after which I think will actually work out better in terms of driving (have to drive 2-3 hours to hit up the Orlando 70 mm IMAX).

Good news though - Fandango is crashing. That's gotta be a box office sign, right? This wasn't publicized as widely as The Force Awakens in terms of ticketing. Plus they had The Force Awakens to know to prepare for this... my gut instinct tells me there's going to be really excellent news to come for SW fans and Disney. This is going to pull in huge numbers.

Long live the rebellion!

Fandango is good until you get into the ordering screen, then it's laggy AF.

And I'm in a queue on Alamo's website.

Looks like I'm waiting a week now, nothing available for where I want to go in NYC that works with my friends' schedules.

I'm fighting with the website as we speak to get them ordered.

I was in a queue on Fandango but now the line is paused. Fandango doesn't want me to see the movie.
